We were staying at Stonecross Manor..a 5 min walk away...but ate and drank in here as hotel was useless for both !!. Food here is gorgeous and plentiful. Great range of drinks and friendly and helpful bar staff. Definitely recommend if in the area.

Great carvery and often visit this place. Slightly frustrating you cannot book a table on a Sunday but I also understand why this procedure is in place. Would (and do) definitely recommend.

Its a long walk to oxenhome station, Taxis are usually parked both sides of the station, my guess is fare would be between £5-£10.

Of course you can, and there are high chairs available. I am uncertain of the times but a quick call to Romney's should put you right.
