this is a cafe almost wholly upstairs, with ordering at ground level where one is tempted by amazing bakery, Delicious cakes and paninis and so on. Good coffee. Upstairs there isn't a lot of room but a lovely relaxed atmosphere with books and magazines. Great and made by the cexcellent

Thirty minutes for a soup from a soup kettle after reminding of my existence. Five people in cafe, two staff members on and the excuse of being single handed given. Lack of professionalism. If this establishment didn't have a rotating clientele I can imaging that it wouldn't exist very long. Not a terrible product at the end but soured by... More

We always make for this small coffee house, which has excellent selection of snack meals. Cakes are great too, and the choice of sandwich fillings is extensive. Good coffee too.

Called in for a quick bite after our walk around derwent water. The wife had a sandwich which was served with a generous side salad I had the vegetable soup which was nice but a little too peppery for my taste. Good food good price

service slow and food ran out - the latter cannot be helped. However my friend ordered a full special - quiche, potatoes and salad, and chips for her child. Eventually a plate arrived with a quiche and chips. She was surprised as paid and ordered the special so girl went down to get the rest of the meal, we thought.... More

Visited at on Saturday 09:05. Staff were just setting up but agreed to serve. We sat upstairs which was a nice room but overnight had got cold. Breafast arrived quickly and was good ingredients, nicely cooked. Only crticism was due to the ambient temperature it went cold quickly.

Sat upstairs in a very comfortable lounge area. Called late afternoon for coffee and sandwiches. Sandwiches were jam packed with filling and very tasty with a small side salad. Good coffee, prices reasonable and friendly staff.

Went in for a coffee on two occasions - both time was under impressed (always try and give a second chance) but made worse on the second visit when I had to point out to the guy behind the counter that there were a number of cakes covered in green mould. They'd clearly been like that a while.... Convenient for... More

Dropped in for coffee and cakes on a wet morning. Good coffee and cakes on offer, and friendly staff. Comfortable seats upstairs and free wifi if you have to be connected. So much better than the chains!
