Visited the prince of India in Windermere with my family. Ordered a chicken Naga special which was fantastic. There curries were bursting out with flavours. The service was exceptionally good. Friendly and polite. Tried many restaurants but cannot compare with the prince of India Windermere. I'd like to recommend this place to all visitors. I'll definitely be back again.

This is the worst restaurant that I have been till date in UK. I am an indian by origin and can say that this is not at all an Indian restaurant. Moreover, in India we believe in an old saying that is "Guest are equivalent to God" but we were not at all treated like human beings as well. The... More

We decided to have An Indian meal on first night in the Lake District and came across this restaurant. On first impressions it is small and in need of decorating, it was a cold evening and inside was only slightly warmer. The staff were friendly and polite. We were the only people in the restaurant although it was early evening,... More

Disappointed my comments appeared to fall on deaf ears to the manager at this place about this curry meal (chickens madras and butter chicken) was absolutely tasteless as sauce was too bland, no flavour at all ...it was the right colour which is what I suspect it contained I.e just colouring. Service was good though. Restaurant Prince of India, Windermere

This is an odd place. It's how I imagine all Indian restaurants looked in the eighties. Service was neither friendly or unfriendly, just cold. One of the... More
