We were visiting Liverpool for a short break and didn't know where to eat, found reviews of this place and took a chance and boy did it pay off. Staff were great explaining the dishes (and the pre food cocktails!) we normally would only have...More

Strange evening really, some of the food was good, some pretty average. Pigeon starter was disappointingly small portion of meat. Cod loin starter was really nice. Duck main was well flavoured but well overcooked. Cheese board was great. 25 minute wait from ordering to receiving...More

We came here on Saturday as a party of seven and were not disappointed. The service was excellent, with the waitress telling us about the specials and always checking that we were OK for drinks. I had the cheese soufflé with tomato bruchetta to start...More

Second time at this restaurant. I thought the first time was great but this was even better. Lovely staff, beautifully cooked food and great wine in a restaurant with a fantastic ambience. If I had to pick holes in the experience it would be that...More

Food was excellent and really was the star. We had goat's cheese and asparagus starters, we both had hake, but from different menus and sticky toffee pudding and key lime pie.. All tasted like they should. Staff were excellent. We arrived early evening. Relaxed atmosphere....More

Questions & AnswersAsk a question
I see from the reviews that meals are prepared after they're ordered. My wife is allergic to garlic and onions. Will they be able to accommodate? I don't just mean "remove all sauces and flavour" like some restaurants (plain meat or fish and boiled veggies), I mean will the chef prepare a tasty alternative? Any advice/comments would be appreciated!

Not a traditional roast that I could see but we went on the Friday of Valentine's weekend. Sunday could be a different menu.

Puschka opened in an old Georgian town house at 16 Rodney Street on the edge of Liverpool's Georgian quarter in 2001 and is one of only a handful of independent restaurants in the city. “With its cosy cushions and wonderful food & service, this funky bohemian restaurant is the kind of place that you do not want to leave”. The Guardian: 'Best Places to Eat in England'.
