I had read many reviews and I can safely say this cafe surpassed anything I had read. One review said STAFF were unfriendly- this was certainly not the case! They were very helpful, friendly and extremely welcoming. The FOOD was fantastic! Everything was cooked to perfection and with such flavour. I'm happy to say it was the best vegan breakfast... More

Visited recently with my family. Not one member of staff smiled or engaged with us. Quirky place to visit after braving the dark staircase not knowing what to expect. Food was ok. Cakes were nice. Coffee was nice but could have been in a larger cup! I would go again for the vegan options but I just feel that the... More

This is a very quirky vegan/vegetarian place. It looks very hippy style. The food was ok, portion enormous and the bill very reasonable.

The space is lovely, I'll give them that. But they really need to learn how to fry an egg. We like our yolks soft, but yucky runny egg white is not acceptable.

A year on and nothing has changed with this great hidden gem. I implore people to visit even if you are a meat eater because the vegetarian food is DELICIOUS and the relaxed vibe is very enticing. I spent 2 hours here and enjoyed my meal immensely. Thank you again Egg cafe, see you next year!

What a lovely place, fantastic food, good and speedy service. The only thing is it is quite hard to find, whist this means it is quiet and there's plenty of space and the aimless wandering up and down Bold Street did build up an appetite, a bigger board outside would help. And please, do wander aimlessly because the end result... More

This cafe is situated up some unpleasant curving stairs, so it is unsuitable for wheelchair users or people with mobility issues. The food is plentiful and varied, served by pleasant staff who were most attentive. The mistake was in ordering the mousaka which contained aubergine from Hell, and gave me wind for 3 days afterwards!

Blues legend Blind Boy Fuller wanted ham and eggs for his dinner, but would have been out of luck if he had visited this homely eatery on Liverpool's Newington, as it is one of the city's best known vegan/vegetarian establishments. My days of veganism are long behind me but as my lovely girlfriend is vegan, we recently enjoyed lunch here.... More
