I stayed right down the street from this pub and it became my "local" for several days. I ate most meals here and the food (typical pub fare). The beer selection is good. Wish they had space for more outdoor seating, but oh well. Opens...More

Called on a couple of days for a drink. Very Nice pub full of character with a good choice of beers. Very friendly staff and the food looked great. Can be a bit dark in parts of the bar as it is long and narrow.

Have been frequently as a group of six. They have booths which makes conversation easier. Meals always hit the spot, good if you're hungry - don't miss the scotch eggs and sausage rolls to start. Service very friendly and patient.

We had booked a table for a family meal to celebrate a birthday. It was a midweek lunchtime and the pub was fairly quiet. The pub was selected mainly due to the interesting choices on the menu. We all had starters, Main Course and desserts....More

Owing to its proximity to Smithfield Market – the site
of an ancient meat market which remains in operation
today – Clerkenwell boasts a plethora of globally
renowned restaurants, fabulous local eateries, and
some of London's favorite pubs. This isn't merely a
focal point for all things foodie though. Spend enough
time wondering through the area's maze of streets and
you might become accustomed to the litany of slinky
