Waited 15 minutes for anyone to come to ask us if we had a reservation/ wanted a table Ordered drinks as we were seated that after 30 mins we asked where they were, as did the couple next to us, 10... We stayed in the hotel and had dinner and breakfast here. The place is very nice with it's high ceilings and huge windows, looking out onto Cromwell Road. Wooden floors and a mix of modern and Victorian décor makes a nice atmosphere. The food was nicely presented and very good. The staff were pleasant and very helpful. The restrooms were... More

Dear Kozwotsit, I am delighted to read that your Breakfast and Dinner experience was excellent. I'm glad you liked our décor which, as correctly pointed, is a combination of Victorian architecture and post modern / vintage furniture. Our Team has gained visibility of your good words and I'm very much looking forward welcoming you back in the near future. Best... More

Very welcoming and friendly atmosphere. Wonderful high ceilings and grand windows. The food was delicious, although wished we were not on diets so we could taste the afternoon tea sandwich, scones and cakes. (It looked so good). We will save for our next trip.

They've changed the menus. I couldn't even get a sandwich today as the club has been removed. My wife and adult daughter had shepherd pie. My daughter left hers and went to KFC around the corner. My wife ate hers but she said the portion was small and only tasted ok. I had soggy fish and chips. One of the... More

Dear BarryMcGovern, Thank you for your review. I'm pleased to read that you found our Team friendly and breakfast quality better compared to previous visits. I am, however, sorry that you felt our new Menu was not to your standards. Part of our Menu changing process is guest feedback and preferences along with fresh produce availability but, having said that,... More

We got an email confirming our booking and 20 minutes before we were due there to say that they don't actually service breakfast / brunch at this time and they are closed from 11 till 12. We were then frantically having to cal around to try and find a table for... More

Lovely restaurant, breakfast was included in our hotel stay. Cecilia made us feel as though we were the only ones in the place, even when the place was full! She was so pleasant and welcoming every day-made us feel right at home. It was our morning home away from home and made our trip that much better. I would stay... More

This really is a lovely and comfortable space. Service was good. The tomato soup was quite delicious. Would go back for it often if I lived here. They have some nice craft cocktails as well.

We happened to stumble upon Scoff and Banter when we were heading to the V&A. I'm so glad we did. Firstly, the decor is a delight, it's clean, classy and simplistic. The outside welcomes you in. Secondly, the service was exquisite. Spyros was looking after us as we were having lunch and he was so attentive and professional. Thank you.... More

We dined at Scoff and Banter in Kensington before a show at Royal Albert Hall. The food was good, service attentive and friendly. Will definitely find a reason to return as the whole experience was great! Tip: Try the shrimps starter, finger-licking good

Staying in South Kensington

Neighbourhood Profile
South Kensington
With its ivied mews, row upon row of Poppins-esque white washed mansions, and placid garden squares, it's easy to see the charms of South Kensington. And with superb access to Hyde Park, Holland Park and Kensington Gardens, as well as the largely child-friendly and mostly free Museum Quarter (not to mention more major attractions like Royal Albert Hall) such charms are easy to make the most of. As welcoming and cosmopolitan as it is reserved and residential, South Kensington is always a hit with visitors.
