Arrived for a Christmas dinner. Firstly, we were sent to the wrong room. When we eventually found the right room, we were seated separately rather than one large group. The room was sparse with no decoration and Christmas dinner wasn't that great. There were no festive touches, not even festive music for the background music!! We had been told before... More

The "Help Yourself" breakfast had just about anything you could think of to eat and plenty of it, fresh every day. Also the evening dining menu was varied and cooked to perfection.

I went for the afternoon and tea and it was lovely but nothing out of the ordinary. The sandwiches, cakes and tea were all average and it was a nice afternoon spent with friends! The selection of cakes and sandwiches were nice and the Assam tea was very tasty!

Not much more to say than that really. There's nothing too fanciful on the menu but the food that is offered is fresh, well prepared and cooked, and delicious.

Breakfast is quite good in this restaurant, but at the dinner there is no ambiance. The cheese burger was poor and the waiter didn't speak proper Englis (ehich is very often the case in this hotel).

Good choice, tasty food, good value 2- or 3-course set menu (drinks a bit expensive). Only a couple of issues: a risotto with squid came with prawns instead, with no warning or check, fortunately not a problem for us, and a hefty 12.5% discretionary service charge, which in this case, we were happy to pay, given the pleasant service.

Took my wife and daughter for afternoon tea on a groupon deal which was good value. Loads of food plenty of tea only problem was a bitty cream pat in the fruit basket cakes and some of the scariness were going hard. Otherwise excellent service lovely hotel. There are about 10 steps into the hotel but I believe there is... More

Neighbourhood Profile
Snuggly nestled within Central London is academic and leafy Bloomsbury, an area that boasts walking distance access to many of London's most popular attractions. It is also home to some of Britain's most celebrated museums, including the must-see British Museum.
