I think Crystal palace has the most number of 'average' Indian restaurants in one area. We are in London so the bar is high. Palace Spice definitely does not live up to the bar. In addition, the waiter was very RUDE. We complained about one of our dishes. We had hardly touched it and the waiter refused to entertain the... More

My husband and I just returned from this restaurant with the worst upset stomachs. Food may have tasted quite good and service was friendly but obviously all is not well in the kitchen area. Too much pain for a mediocre curry!

I went there fairly late on a Tuesday and had a reasonably good meal but when I came to pay, I was told the card payment system wasn't working. I was advised that I should go the an ATM nearby. I asked why I couldn't pay by card and the waiter pointed that, because I had been there a few... More

This restaurant was recommended to us so we left the kiddies with the grandparents and off we went to have some "wonderful Indian food". We were so disappointed! My husband has the tandoori lamb chops to start which were tough and had hardly any meet on them. My starter of the chicken chaat was nice and had some lovely flavour... More

What a joy. The food was flavoursome without the indiscriminate heat you get in other Indian Restaurants. Service was very friendly and helpful. And they do a discount for Caravan Club Members as well! Just lovely.

Mains were £7. Excellent value for money, delicious tender chicken madras and lamb vindaloo. The Bordeaux Saint Emilion Grand Cru was just £20- great value If you order papadams, the sides are included. Excellent attentive service. Manik's is definitely the man!
