This pub is great, the Australian manager is a really lovely guy, he takes pride in what he does and this shows! The food is brilliant and beer selection is always exciting.

I thought the days of rude bar staff were gone and that those creatures generally lurked in the east end rather than south of the river. However. Sadly the Tommyfield has a full sweep of staff whose behaviour was quite amazing. I have worked in...More

Thank you for your review of The Tommyfield. I am very sorry to read about your experience on your visit. We are slightly baffled at your comments as it's almost unbelievable behaviour from our staff, when they are aware that serving a customer is, quite...More

I am a local Kennington resident. I have seen various incarnations of this pub on the corner. When Tommyfield opened I was excited - the food was good, the atmosphere was just right (in the evenings and during the day), and the service excellent. However...More

Stopped in for Pub lunch and very busy, staff were very attentive to take orders and food arrived hot and freshly cooked. Beer and drinks are a bit pricey and the only downside was once it got quiet and we were staying for more drinks...More

After a nice walk with friends we stopped by the Tommyfield for lunch. Now I know it prides itself on its meat, but as a vegetarian I asked if there was a vegetarian option, "No", and trying not to be difficult I asked if couldn't...More

Thank you for your review. I will speak with the staff but I am very uncertain as to why one of them would say we do not have vegetarian options, I can only assume it was a misunderstanding. We have 2 vegetarian starter options, 3...More

My son and I dropped in on a Friday evening and had wild boar and juniper pies - 1 each. They came with mash and cabbage, and gravy. Not enough juniper, but full and meaty. Good mash. Crunchy cabbage. Nice gravy. The place lacked a...More

We had a semi-formal dinner for about 20, including a couple of guests of honour, and chose The Tommyfield as it was handy for them. The staff had dressed the upstairs Master Room beautifully with white linen and candles and we had it to ourselves....More

Wonderful sustainable English fish, our famous steaks and old school pie and mash form the heart of our menu. Our chicken and pork is all free-range and we work with some of the best small producers the British Isles has to offer. June 2014 saw the launch of six beautiful bedrooms on our top two floors. Each with their own unique character and charm, they feature either a super king or king-size bed, Egyptian cotton linen, an HD Freeview television, free wireless internet, Nespresso machine, black-out curtains or blinds, mini-fridge and safe as standard. Our private Master Room, with its own bar, is perfect for private parties and events, and hosts one of London's best stand-up comedy gigs every other Thursday.
