The food was excellent and we had a great meal. However, the vibe was a little quiet, so we felt a little bit like we were on display as we were eating. Overall, I would recommend for a nice date night with a significant other,...More

The Square lost its 2 Michelin stars when ownership changed in 2016. However, the food is still as good as before, and, if anything, the absence of the Michelin stars has made it easier to get a reservation. I have been a regular diner at...More

To be fair, we booked the last night before they closed for months of renovations, so we were one of only three occupied tables for the whole night. They'd also removed much of the decorations and artwork from the walls which made the atmosphere so...More

If you like high end French inspired food, this place is great. They have a set menu for lunch and you can choose 4, 5 or 6 courses and the 6 course is £65 per person which is not bad. The food tasted good and...More

Saturday lunch and more wait staff than guests!! Escorted to table and immediately received by 2 wait staff. All very friendly and enthusiastic and no doubt pleased to have guests to attend to. Food is typically nouvelle cuisine and very tastefully presented. The taste was...More

The service is good, enjoyed the meal from bread to dessert especially the sesame chocolate was super. I ordered risoto, it was rather bland. My friends ordered beef and fish as main, they say it was perfect!

Has always been a favourite over the past 20 years, but have things slipped? Excellent service, but... Confusing tastes from the new chef... Grilled Cornish Hake Fregula, Chorizo Oil, Niçoise ... it left the flaccid fish totally overpowered by the smokiness of the chorizo. Starter:...More

Set beside some of London's best parks and home to
world-class galleries, luxurious hotels, and famed
thoroughfares, the ultra upscale Mayfair is one of
London's most exclusive haunts. Here the shopping is
haute, the dining is exquisite, and the nightlife is
vibrant. A casual stroll through the area’s chic
streets will reveal that Michelin stars and
chauffeured cars are practically the norm here. Even

The Square restaurant in London's ultra-smart Mayfair has four right angles: great food, wines, service, and location. The dining room is a refined space where you can seal a deal, celebrate a triumph, or simply dine incredibly well. Chef Patron Philip Howard has earned a pair of Michelin stars for his unique French-inspired haute cuisine using impeccable ingredients to create dishes capable of both gossamer elegance and vivid boldness all in the same bite. Everything is superb, though we particularly recommend the herb-crusted saddle of lamb with shallot purée, artichokes, balsamic vinegar and olive oil. The Square's wine list (wine bible, really) runs to 80 pages of the world's finest.
