My sister hosted a dinner at L'autre Pied on Saturday night for 10 friends . The restaurant manager and staff made us feel very welcome on arrival, and were attentive during the evening. The food was exquisite - beautifully presented and absolutely delicious . There is really nothing I could fault about the evening - I would highly recommend this... More

Absolutely an amazing atmosphere, simple but also elegant. The plates were nicely presented and the flavours were very well described. We had the seven courses testing menu. What really made our night though, was the incredible performance of Severine ( I apologise if the name is spelled wrong ), smiley, enthusiast and professional, she gave to our experience a wonderful... This is a Michelin star restaurant. while the food may be in line with the Michelin standard, the ambiance isn't and defiantly NOT the service. The staff was friendly and helpful but not so professional.

This is my second time eating at L'Autre Pied and definitely wont be my last. I went with the family to celebrate my dads birthday and it was absolutely brilliant. The artistry of the taster menu allows you to taste each flavor individually but in a way where they all come together to create something very special. The presentation of... More

(Visited in 2014). Really enjoyable visit. The baked Alaska dessert was notable. All round very good; "excellent" is reserved for its sister restaurant on Charlotte St.

We were expecting great things from this restaurant, but ended up underwhelmed. Nothing was terribly wrong, but we certainly did not get the wow factor we were hoping for. We opted for the pre-theatre menu and had marinated, herring cucumber with quite a sharp onion as a starter. The herring was tiny but passable although the whole dish was one-dimensional... More

This is a wonderful restaurant. I won't go into detail but it is French food at it's very best. Modern recipes which you just cant do at home. Delightful attention and not at all fussy or pretentious. I didn't want to leave! Good value if you value quality. Going back soon! J xx

First visit 4.5.17. Graciously received as a walk-in, explained largely by a mostly-empty dining room. The service was top-notch right off the bat and remained so for the duration. The two course dinner (for 40GBP) started with smoked quail served from beneath a bell jar retaining the smoke. But it proved a light, delicate smoking, perfectly matching the meat. The... More

Visiting for my wife's Birthday the restaurant staff were both warm and accommodating! We enjoyed the 7 Course tasting menu over a very relaxed two hours. It was a really thoughtful touch to bring a candle and card for my partner on reaching the last course. We'd highly recommend L'Autre Pied for a special occasion.

We organized my wife's birthday in their private dining area. The evening was great. The food was absolutely delicious! We chose the tasting menu - all of the dishes were cooked to perfection and surprised us by some of the mixes. Our taste buds were challenged in a very nice way. I cannot describe all of that we had but... More

Staying in Marylebone

Neighbourhood Profile
Marylebone
Marylebone offers what so many London neighbourhoods cannot: a village feel coupled with urban convenience. Much of its success rests in its location. Wedged between the northeastern corner of Hyde Park and the southern end of Regent's Park and with a number of Tube stations within easy reach, Marylebone is as pedestrian friendly as Central London gets. The bustling shopping mecca of Oxford Street separates it from Soho and Mayfair, exclusive Regent Street marks its border with Fitzrovia, and cosmopolitan Edgware Road serves as its western edge. Within this enviably situated quarter are an array of outstanding restaurants (from Michelin darlings to down and dirty cheeseburgers), an impressive assortment of independently owned shops, and some of the city's quietest and most pleasant nooks, crannies and cobbled lanes.
