Reviewed yesterday NEW

My wife and I had dinner here and enjoyed their beer, cider and meat pies. The service was very friendly (our waiter was from Australia) and the noise level was very reasonable for a pub.

This wonderful Pub is near my hotel location. I ate there several times. The food was delicious! I had lite fare as well as full meals. A fav was the 3 pie/3 ales taster. Delish! Everyone I shared this pic with said how could you eat so much food. It really wasn't too much - and I skipped lunch just... More

We loved this place, it felt like "Cheers" to us. The food was excellent especially the meat pies and the fish and chips. The service was outstanding and very friendly. The beers were varied and gave a good sense of local tastes. We would return here in a heartbeat.

Stopped by the pub on our way home but found it was very stuffy, floor was sticky and the whole place smelled of old deep fried fish oil. They where quite bust so it took quite a while to he served, we grabbed our pint and headed on...

A more traditional type of pub with real ales which are beautifully kept. The London Pride clear as water. The menu was small, but there was enough to choose from. I had the steak pie, soft steak in an ale sauce. The chips an cabbage finished it off nicely.

My family and I were on a quest to satisfy my wife's craving for some "real English fish and chips". On our last day in London, we happened by the Blackbird on our way to the subway. Briefly, the service was excellent and the fish and chips were to die for!! I do not remember the young lady's name who... More

Typical Fullers pub with decent beer. The Pride we sampled on this visit was excellent. At £14.50 though the house pie dish feels overpriced for a pie, chips and greens which was served 4 minutes after we ordered it. It came with a miserly portion of gravy. We asked for more which the barman acknowledged but more never came. Would... More

My husband and I felt like family when we ate at this pub. People came from all over the world and enjoyed the British breakfast and delicious smoked salmon. The staff goes above and beyond to make your stay tasty and relaxing.

We dropped in to this pub for an evening drink. It is a Fullers pub and offers the range of beers that you would expect notably London Pride. In addition, it has a food offer which is significantly different to regular pub fare - it offers a traditional London pie menu including Stargazy pie, steak and ale pie and all... More

Staying in South Kensington

Neighbourhood Profile
South Kensington
With its ivied mews, row upon row of Poppins-esque white washed mansions, and placid garden squares, it's easy to see the charms of South Kensington. And with superb access to Hyde Park, Holland Park and Kensington Gardens, as well as the largely child-friendly and mostly free Museum Quarter (not to mention more major attractions like Royal Albert Hall) such charms are easy to make the most of. As welcoming and cosmopolitan as it is reserved and residential, South Kensington is always a hit with visitors.
