Have been going for years. Would highly recommend during the week but Sunday lunch was a disaster. Service poor and the beef hardly edible. Trading on its location. There are much better places nearby for Sunday lunch. Which is a shame because pubs like this should thrive and survive.

A friend took my mom and I here for dinner a few days ago and it was just lovely. Fantastic food (recommend the pigs ear platter), great beers on draughts and very friendly service. Saffy was a particularly lovely waitress! (As well as the manager from Portugal whose name escapes me!) Would definitely go back.

This was the perfect place for a summer Sunday supper. Saffy really looked after us well and the food and wine were delicious. The Pigs Ear platter was exceptionally good as a shared starter and the chorizo scotch egg was an absolute winner. All in all, a really lovely evening and highly recommended

Been to the Pigs Ear many times over the past 14 years and have found the upstairs dining room to be a consistent reliable option for a good meal. Steaks done to order, nicely prepared sides and good wine and beer. The pub downstairs is usually buzzing and the upstairs is nicely intimate - excellent combo!

Once upon a time The Old Dairy opposite The Pig's Ear was a recording studio called Sound Techniques. There recorded Nick Drake, Sandy Denny and many more. My twin brother loves the music so we went for a birthday meal where the best of British folk rock once rolled their fags and had a pint between sessions. We were seated... More

Made a reservation , gave name and number turn up to find that we had no reservation ! Great start !. They had a table upstairs which is a nice pretty and bright family room . Food wise it depends on what you choose , but it's touch and go , presentation average and service really average . Not rude... More

Shared a pork platter for lunch and so enjoyed it went back for fish platter in the evening. Not disappointed! Staff really friendly, declined the 'optional tip' and left them cash.

Made a visit on a hot Saturday evening and the place was heaving, fortunate to get a table in the bar area as the restaurant was busy - however service was very good, attentive, cheerful staff. Excellent, well kept real ales. I had the fish & chips - very good portion size and well cooked - my wife and daughter... More

We just happened to walk past while on an evening walking adventure. Downstairs is your typical pub but upstairs what a lovely dining area. The setting was very nice. Very clean and tidy. Good menu it's not just pub food there's some good stuff. Excellent flavours , good presentation generous portions. The service was excellent. Disappointed to learn that only... More

Staying in Chelsea

Neighbourhood Profile
Chelsea
Wealth courses through The King's Road, Chelsea's upmarket artery of West London life packed with shops, eateries and glitzy nightspots. For people-watching at its best and luxury retail therapy that's largely unrivalled, this area cannot be missed. But if this showy street starts to overwhelm or a moment of price tag shock sends you reeling, a quick detour down pretty much any of many King's Road veins will reveal a quieter side of Chelsea. Here the stately Royal Hospital hosts its world-famous flower show, and the Thames rolls along at a lazy pace, with leafy Battersea Park and its Peace Pagoda beckoning from across the river.
