The Dogget's is an old favourite. It has changed little whilst all around it has got trendy. Well worth popping in for a great pint and the food is pretty good

We were here Sunday past when the marathon was on. Really impressed by the efficient staff, great service and loovekt outside space in the sun (sun not under the control of the owners!!). Brilliant people watching and very reasonably priced for such a central location.

I've been to London many times and passed by "Doggett's" thinking that it looked a lovely place, but "I bet it's expensive". My husband and I were having a city break in London and walked past the pub one evening. We decided to give it a try. No problem getting a table even on a Friday, the atmosphere was friendly,... Visited for breakfast as we were staying in a hotel near by, the food was lovely well worth the price. Service is spot on, it's clean and very comfortable. We went back for tea that night and again the food was lovely loads for a good price. The drinks are very reasonable as well and they accommodate the children. We... More

I have visited this pub quite a lot, as it is quite spacious, has a lovely garden at the back, is in a good location by the river and has a good variety of drinks. We booked a table online, which was very straight forward. The food was really good, in particular I recommended their triple cooked chips to accompany... More

This is a standard London pub. It's a good size so is well suited for larger groups. There's a decent range of beers, ciders and wine. If it's a nice day you can enjoy a nice view of the Thames. The staff are ok, but can be grumpy at times. This place is also tourist friendly if you're in the... More

Staying in Southbank

Neighbourhood Profile
Southbank
Big time attractions such as the London Eye and a thriving theatre scene (compliments of the National Theatre and the Young Vic) are but a few of the reasons that Southbank is such a collectively cherished part of town. With plenty of family friendly activities and venues lined up along a pedestrianized river bank between Westminster Bridge and Waterloo Bridge, visitors can always expect a casual and festive atmosphere. On top of all the fun stuff to do at Southbank is the opportunity to simply sit back and admire photo-op views of iconic landmarks like Parliament and St Paul's Cathedral, just on across the Thames.
