I usually find fish and chips tasteless and either over fried or soggy with chips that are nothing worth discussing and tarter sauce that I never touch. I was THRILLED to visit the Seashell after multiple recommendations from friends. The fish was fresh and the panko crusted goujons were FANTASTIC - the chips were fab too! The service was very... Visited on a Friday night. Did not book but were able to get a table even though it was busy. Staff friendly and attentive. Starters of Whitebait and prawn cocktail were very nice and generous portions. The main courses of cod and haddock with chips and a salad were again generous and the fish was the best we have tasted.... More

A family outing (five adults) for Friday night fish dinner. We were able to reserve a table on the day, but it wasn't full when we got there, so try even if you don't have a reservation. The service was excellent with young polite and smart waiters and waitresses. The fish was excellent and of good sized portions. Chips or... More

I regularly visit and have here. Really fresh fish and unsalted chips. It's a bit far from central that is what I don't like. But quality is guaranteed.

Our Cab Driver recommended this place. It was just lovely. They have an array of types of fish for the fish and chips. The chips are the best. They are crispy and fried, but not a bit oily, perfectly seasoned and BOTTOMLESS. You can literally have as many as you want. When you go, there are 2 entrances. 1 for... More

We went there thanks to our tour guide. Good food, good service, good ambience and good value. We had the cod and it was well done. Thanks for a delicious meal.

With a large range of fish, bottomless chips and Murphy's on tap who could complain? Great service, waiter called George was very helpful and charming. Mushy peas were very good also (which I find rare). Thanks!

Staying in Marylebone

Neighbourhood Profile
Marylebone offers what so many London neighbourhoods cannot: a village feel coupled with urban convenience. Much of its success rests in its location. Wedged between the northeastern corner of Hyde Park and the southern end of Regent's Park and with a number of Tube stations within easy reach, Marylebone is as pedestrian friendly as Central London gets. The bustling shopping mecca of Oxford Street separates it from Soho and Mayfair, exclusive Regent Street marks its border with Fitzrovia, and cosmopolitan Edgware Road serves as its western edge. Within this enviably situated quarter are an array of outstanding restaurants (from Michelin darlings to down and dirty cheeseburgers), an impressive assortment of independently owned shops, and some of the city's quietest and most pleasant nooks, crannies and cobbled lanes.
