I was bought up not to complain BUT, life is too short to ever want to go there again. Saturday night after being at the Albert Hall we popped in here on the off chance. We waited over on hour after ordering for our starter...More

Friendly service and traditional Italian food. The pizzas are good and the restaurant accommodates us after we have been to The Proms. Book a table in advance.

My sister and I were visiting London and occupying a flat on Queen’s Gate. We ran into il Borgo while dining elsewhere on Gloucester Rd. We were surprised as there were few people. The food was delicious. The service was good. The recommended wine was...More

Well, doesn't happen a lot, but this really would have been worth a detour - to avoid it! I was looking for Di Mario. But that place was full and crowded (I should have listened to the signs....), so Il Borgo was next door, and...More

Came here for dinner the other day in a big group. Half the table wasn't set out with cutlery and crockery, we did eventually get a plate and cutlery but 3 wine glasses never turned up. We ordered some water, and had to ask for...More

This restaurant has cheated a lot of people and it should be closed. We ordered pasta and they told us if we wanted mixed salad or salad with cheese as if it were included in the dish and then they charged us £ 12 for...More

Disinterested bordering on arrogant staff. Probably the worst pizza I’ve ever had in my life. Bitter, acrid, and so lacking in flavour that I wondered if it could have possibly been cooked by a trained Chef? My tomato ‘salad’ was half a tomato sliced with...More

A good place for a simple casual pasta with a glass of the house red. Prefer the lighter, tomato based sauces to the creamy ones. spaghetti caprese with tuna and olives is my favourite so far. Not alta cuccina but a good reliable local.

South Kensington
With its ivied mews, row upon row of Poppins-esque
white washed mansions, and placid garden squares, it's
easy to see the charms of South Kensington. And with
superb access to Hyde Park, Holland Park and
Kensington Gardens, as well as the largely
child-friendly and mostly free Museum Quarter (not to
mention more major attractions like Royal Albert Hall)
such charms are easy to make the most of. As welcoming
