I went here for a private work function. The restaurant looks nice when you enter it. We had the chambre separee which was just ok. You had to walk by the bathroom to get to the dining area. The food was just ok, we had...More

Compact restaurant. Quiet loud due to diners talking and little noise absorption. Difficult to hear sometime across the table of 4. Service and food was good. Try not to sit on the outside chair as you will get banged by staff and customers passing by.

Catered for a business 3 course meal for 15 people. No problems with having different choices. Well cooked, served my pleasant staff in attractive surroundings. But no wow factor, though!

We shared a table for ten, and all enjoyed the quality traditional fare. The pies were a stand out. The chips were however a little cold. The service was attentive. Overall a good choice for a large group.

I was at the Mercer for a business dinner for two. quite a disappointment. While the restaurant made it at no point in time to a seat load factor beyond 50% that evening, the waitress had checking me in. No idea why as the name...More
