I think this place is the best one in London. It's either good for a drink and to eat. Nice music, relaxed atmosphere, professional and caring staff, amazing cocktails. Happy hours from 5-7 p.m. I really love the place. And it's been a while I go there and never get bored of it. I really recommend it!

Went here with my girlfriend for their £75 set menu. Can't really fault it for anything. Everything was top class from start to finish. Great welcome, the food was fantastic (we tried everything on the set menu) and the service was second to none. I realise the reduced menu probably makes it easier for service but I would go again... Sheperds is always an absolute delight. Excellent wine list with great house wines. Lovely private dining rooms and public areas. A menu which always offers something you hadn't thought of - in my case grilled rabbit

I went to Shepherds in the past and found them to good. However last Friday 9th December I went with friends for a Christmas meal we couldn't have been more disappointed. The food was not very good I requested a gluten free meal. The restaurant didn't provide any gluten free products they just omitted anything containing gluten so I was... More

Not been here for years, previously under different management, however, it feels just like it always used to. A good dining option near to the Palace of Westminster. Classic decor and good service. There is a bar area with a few booths and seating up at the bar for a pre-dinner drink. Menu does not have a large selection but... More

I'm struggling to find any positives about this place, maybe the service and relaxed atmosphere. Dishes unavailable, specials ran out, no real side options (a bowl of leaves doesn't count ) and one of the worst dessert selections I've ever seen. To top it off,£80 with a few drinks awful value. In dire need of an update. Even asked if... More

This was a much visited venue for many years until there was a change of Management three or four years ago. We decided to return for dinner with a group of friends. The restaurant has returned to its old and comfortable seating and lighting format once again creating a pleasant atmosphere. The location is away from the hectic Westminster area.... More

We were unfortunate enough to have our Christmas meal here, £50 for 3 courses I had the smallest dover sole I have ever been served in a resturant served with cabbage! Dull starter and dull desert rounded off the meal. Staff were indifferent and a bit slow

If you want a bit of 'posh dining' then you should visit Shepherds. Very efficient staff giving excellent service. A good menu and a tad on the pricey side as you would expect for a restaurant in Westminster.

First time at Shepherd's and not disappointed. Atmosphere is superb, nicely lit and a superb bar area on arrival. A well designed menu, not too many dishes but covering all the key bases. Food was extremely fresh, we started with cured sea trout followed by a whole plaice. Beautifully presented. Some interesting sorbets for dessert, elderflower was brilliant. Finally, a... More

Staying in Westminster

Neighbourhood Profile
If you only had an afternoon to experience London on a grand scale, Westminster would be a wise place to start. The ornate Houses of Parliament and Westminster Abbey sit adjacent at a corner of Parliament Square, and a short stroll along The Mall leads to Buckingham Palace. Trafalgar Square and Nelson's Column are just up the road as well. As captivating as the architecture is, the wonders of Mother Nature are highlights of the area too. St James's Park (arguably London's loveliest), the expansive Green Park, and pedestrian friendly tree lined paths along the river showcase the exquisite manicure provided by English gardeners. Just beyond the landmarks and the gorgeous outdoor spaces, quiet residential squares and age old local pubs offer a more subdued take on this global seat of power in the heart of London.
