I have been going to various Boisdale restaurants for years, because I enjoy the food and the atmosphere. On Tuesday I went with a good pal over from Australia. Granted, we arrived at 2115 for a 2100 reservation but I was rather surprised to hear...More

We wanted to try Boisdale, as it has a good reputation. Although the waiting staff were friendly and smiley, the service was incredibly slow. We enjoyed the starters, good presentation, and tasty. The main was a disappointment, the steaks lacked flavour, and chewy - not...More

The starter and main course (we had Chateaubriand) were exceptional. The dessert was a bit more average. The service was variable. There was a very talented pianist accompanied by a jazz singer. Overall a pleasant, though slightly overpriced, evening.

Having read some decent reviews for the Boisdale we decided to give it a try for Valentines. Booking was achieved easily via their website and a confirmation call was put in the day of the booking. The entrance to the restaurant is down a rather...More
