We booked at this restaurant as some friends were celebrating their 20th wedding anniversary. Upon arrival we were offered a complimentary glass of champagne. Service was great, with our waitress really exceeding all expectations of sevice as we were trying to find the right wine to accompany our meal. She was courteuos and helpful. Food was delicious. An excellent experience!... More

My colleagues and I enjoyed a very good dinner here back in January. The food was very good and the service was too, if a little unattentive at times -- we were sitting in a corner and at times we had some difficulties in attracting the attention of the staff. There was a slight, cold draft from the door. All... More

I have just returned from a late lunch here with a friend and have to say that I am not sure I shall return. I ordered from the main menu and she ordered from the lunch time offer menu; I ordered a grilled chicken with mushroom sauce and she the grilled chicken with bacon. The food came after quite some... Although the restaurant wasnt busy we decided to go in as the weather was shocking. We shouldn't have. The service was poor, our starter was practically thrown at us by the Manageress and the main course was so dangerously salty I felt it unwise to eat. We complained but I felt little notice was taken.

Had a very enjoyable meal here before going to a concert at the Albert Hall. Very good value for money - 2 courses for £10.99 before 7 pm - and a nice atmosphere with attentive service

We visited here before going to the Royal Albert Hall and we were not disappointed the food was amazing so no complaints. The service was great and we will defiantly return. I can't comment on the pricing as this was a present, but I am less to believe it is reasonable for what we had.

Tasty, good food - good service. Staying at the Royal Garden Hotel, I needed to get away from the room service menu. This is the perfect antidote. Good food, attentive service. I chose a special of scallops, the Chef declared the m unworthy and threw them out - had me there. So, Onion Soup to start, Veau Escalope for main.... More

We visited this brasserie for the special offer early evening meal, although we hadn't booked and it was a bank holiday we were shown straight to a table. The very pleasant waiter brought us a stone pitcher of tap water and there was a very good choice of starter and main course which were served quite quickly. The food was excellent,... More

Neighbourhood Profile
South Kensington
With its ivied mews, row upon row of Poppins-esque white washed mansions, and placid garden squares, it's easy to see the charms of South Kensington. And with superb access to Hyde Park, Holland Park and Kensington Gardens, as well as the largely child-friendly and mostly free Museum Quarter (not to mention more major attractions like Royal Albert Hall) such charms are easy to make the most of. As welcoming and cosmopolitan as it is reserved and residential, South Kensington is always a hit with visitors.
