Living in the area, we often go to Olives for a family Saturday evening dinner or Sunday lunch, and we consistently find both the food and the service excellent both in quality and value. The staff are charming and very well trained. The prix fixe...More

Walked past, then went back and read the menu and booked for dinner. We were not disappointed. Varied and different menu from the usual italian restaurants. Our waitress Nikolina was very helpful with some of the choices we made. Definitely recommend. Will go again.

We have been there many times for diner, we have tested 80% of the menu and have never been disappointed. They have offer interesting discounts via opentable (30% and up to 50% at certain times on the food - excluding beverages and tip). The place...More

I visited this restaurant with some colleagues. The service was great and the food was delicious. I had the burrata starter and the pumpkin ravioli both of which were really good. The restaurant has a 50% taste card offer which made for a very reasonable...More

The food was wonderful and definitely worth trying. However, the service was something else! At one point my guest even commented on the standard, which isn’t great when you’re there on business.

I came here to treat my girlfriend for a nice meal and whilst it is a nice place the food portions are shockingly small and a complete rip off. Avoid! I paid 26 pounds for the Tagliatelle with seafood Pasta and it was like a...More

Thefood here was not bad, but nothing amazing and the selection was pretty limited so it seemed overpriced for what you got. There is a much better Italian place just down the block.

South Kensington
With its ivied mews, row upon row of Poppins-esque
white washed mansions, and placid garden squares, it's
easy to see the charms of South Kensington. And with
superb access to Hyde Park, Holland Park and
Kensington Gardens, as well as the largely
child-friendly and mostly free Museum Quarter (not to
mention more major attractions like Royal Albert Hall)
such charms are easy to make the most of. As welcoming

Olives Restaurant and Bar just off Gloucester Road in London's Kensington is an authentic Italian dining room which will delight lovers of Mediterranean food. Full of quirky charm, Olives is at once both chic and rustic, decorated in deep blue and furnished with simple, clean lined furnishings. Mismatched chandeliers hang from the ceilings and behind the bar the fine produce you will soon be sampling is deliciously displayed. It is as if you are suddenly transported from South Kensington to southern Italy. Italian-born Executive Chef Davide di Croce is at the helm in the Olives kitchen where he gives traditional Italian favorites his own unique twist using top quality ingredients. The set menu, perfect for lunches and pre-theatre suppers, is full of your favorite Italian dishes and the price is ridiculously reasonable. The wine list is divided into Europe with real depth in the Italian selections and The Rest of the World, and rounds off the Olives experience very well.
