Spicy but not too hot, tasty, helpful staff and fairly priced. Two pages of specialties. I suggest two sides to have a full meal.

Had quite pleasant lunch there. Order vegan items and found them to be very delicious. Staff was particularly helpful with directions nearby as we wanted to find a Internet cafe nearby to print our boarding passes. Would visit again.

If you are in the City and you want some yummy Indian food for lunch, go to Spice Trader. For starters we had the Onion Bhaji and lamb tandoori, both were very good. So was the lamb dhansak, the chicken tikka masala and the dahl.

Food is standard curry house menu. Nothing bad about that but its hard to get excited about it. Service is charming and fast. Prices are reasonable. Bottles if Cobra kept coming. So if you want a curry in the City and don't like surprises or a bad experience the Spice Trader is a good place to go.

Great food and a friendly welcome. For a London City curry house, this is very good overall and certainly not overpriced.

Like other reviewers have stated, this is a fairly standard curry of the type and quality you would expect to find in this area. Food was nice enough, maybe a touch on the more expensive side but not too horrendous. Will probably be back at some point.

The food is nice enough which is important and the ingredients feel fresh and good quality. However the thing that makes it just average is the atmosphere. I have been here a few times and the lighting is far too bright and most, but not all the staff aren't particularly friendly in fact some are a bit surly. I would... More

I had a meal which was average we used the taste card which was not cost effective felt leaving ripped off Normal cost is £17.95 for a curry They take the service charge on the whole bill and I was not impressed with the meal at all I would not return as the meal was below average and very expensive... Staying in City of London

Neighbourhood Profile
City of London
From its ancient past as a Roman trading outpost to its 21st century status as the wealthiest square mile in the world, the financial district known simply as “The City” is one of London's most historic and fascinating neighbourhoods. Here high rise office towers such as Norman Foster’s Gherkin mingle with Roman ruins and architectural marvels from virtually every era in between, including Christopher Wren's glorious St.Paul's Cathedral, and John Soane's dauntingly classicist Bank of England. This neighbourhood is also home to some of the finest restaurants and plushest hotels in Europe, in addition to an assortment of of watering holes, upscale shops, and Tube stations. During the week, the City is abuzz with white collar workers going about their business; the weekend sees this area turn into a quiet haven for sightseers.
