Walked in off the street and got seated and served straight away. Food was superb and staff were very friendly. We had the Taxidriver and the GBK bacon cheeseburger with a peanut butter milkshake, a salted caramel milkshake, sweet potato fries, skinny fries, baconaise and basil mayo to share and couldn't finish it all.... But really wanted to.

We dined at this restaurant yesterday evening and found the service to be good and the burger was good. However two hour's after eating the burger ( Bruce Leek) my partner was violently ill throughout the night and has spent most of the afternoon in bed. My partner has been so unwell we had to cut short our trip to... More

I almost thought I was in the U.S. the burger was so good. There is a great selection of both burgers and type of fries. Most U.S. citizen will have a bit of sticker shock. Most burgers are ₤12-16 WITHOUT FRIES. But if you are in London (there are several Gourmet Burger Kitchens) and craving a decent burger, it's worth... More

Went there while on holiday in london. My wife eats gluten free and chose the burger without bun and got salad and corn on cob as replacement which was great! We had chunky chips and a bottle of wine. The restuarant is small and quite cramped as they have jammed allot of tables in there, seems to be a london... More

This reastaurant is worth to try. Service is good and staff is polite. Food is briliant with reasonable price. I visited with my teenage companion and she was thrilled. Although this is chain restaurant, it doesn't feel like chain restaurant.

(+) variety of burgers (+) choice of skinny fries or large cut fries (+) variety of dipping sauces. The spicy mayo was delicious (siracha perhaps?) --> restaurant is small, therefore better for groups of 4 or less. --> casual eating --> fairly expensive for burgers and fries (once converted to Canadian prices, but I'm starting to think that's just London).... We had a most enjoyable meal in this busy restaurant. The food was tasty and filling. Don't bother with the house wine, get yourself a glass of something nicer. The meal deserves it.

We are burger aficionados, so admittedly the bar was set fairly high coming in. That said the burger choices and selection were excellent and numerous so you are sure to find something you like. The burgers tend to be piled a bit high so can slip, slide and fall out fairly easily, so be careful. The bacon was not at... More

In 2001, three kiwi guys set up the first GBK in Battersea, South London. The philosophy was simple – to create a fresh, quality burger reminiscent of the gourmet burgers they were used to back in New Zealand. They were the first to introduce gourmet burgers to the London market and we still pride ourselves on serving up the freshest burgers; combining 100% prime beef, hand selected and traditionally reared on independent farms across the South West counties, with the freshest ingredients and sauces made from scratch every day in each GBK kitchen. We now have over 80 restaurants from Brighton to Edinburgh.

Staying in South Kensington

Neighbourhood Profile
South Kensington
With its ivied mews, row upon row of Poppins-esque white washed mansions, and placid garden squares, it's easy to see the charms of South Kensington. And with superb access to Hyde Park, Holland Park and Kensington Gardens, as well as the largely child-friendly and mostly free Museum Quarter (not to mention more major attractions like Royal Albert Hall) such charms are easy to make the most of. As welcoming and cosmopolitan as it is reserved and residential, South Kensington is always a hit with visitors.
