I had been meaning to try this restaurant before lockdown so I was excited to visit on 31 August 2020. The restaurant is tastefully decorated and the table and seating areas are all generous. A couple of negatives were we sat down to a dirty table and had to ask someone to wipe it down (not good in Covid times). Our waitress whilst not Chinese was very helpful and knowledgeable on the dishes. The Dim Sum was probably the best I have tasted in London so huge thumbs up. The salt and pepper squid starter whilst pricey could feed 2-3 people and was delicious. The main special fried rice and pork dish were a tad disappointing. Neither wowed me and they were not cheap. I would not order again, but I would return again for the Dim Sum and to try other dishes including the duck which was not available as you needed to pre order. We had a 1530 sitting and were rushed to order as the kitchen was closing and so our mains were delivered during our Dim Sum experience and so ended up being cold by the time we started eating the mains..........also disappointing. I have eaten at most of the big Dim Sum restaurants in London and this is at the top re quality of ingredients and presentation...........hence I would go back again for Dim Sum for sure.

Restaurants in London are under a lot of pressure at the moment, but we booked into the Imperial Treasure with no problems and were very impressed. On a Friday night, the atmosphere was peaceful and calm, the staff were ultra-professional with excellent service, and the food was outstanding. We had one of the set summer menus, which was perfectly pitched and competitively priced. Highly recommended and thank you for a wonderful evening.

From the minute you walk in the service is incredible and I loved the atmosphere inside the restaurant and how nice and quiet it is. I was dining alone so sadly couldn't order the vegetarian set menu, but the food I did get was amazing. The waiters were able to recommend some amazing drinks and popular mains. (side not the spring rolls are beautiful). The buns for dessert were also so great. And one thing I love is that you can take-away any food you don't finish which a lot of high end restaurants don't let you do. Loved it so much will definitely be back!

What a disappointment. Having been to imperial treasures around Asia and in Paris, I had high expectations. As far as I’m concerned, imperial treasure has always delivered excellent food and impeccable friendly service. This is NOT the case in London. Firstly, the restaurant looks and feels run down already. Not luxurious at all. Food is ok, though very expensive for what it is, even in London standards. But what I will NOT forgive is the TERRIBLE service. Managers walk around and do nothing, waiters do half their job and as one of my guest said “I have the impression I’m in a posh Wagamama”.
We ordered a big variety of dim sum and had to ask 6 times for chilli oil, fresh sliced chillies and soya sauce. Half of them were cold by the time condiments were delivered. They made it very clear it was an inconvenience we were asking.
Food came out very fast...at first. Then there was a one hour wait. When asked where the food was, a manager said “yeah yeah, it’s coming.” Dishes were slow to arrive, one after the other. We had ordered desserts in advance and these were put in a table full of empty dirty plates and dishes. When asked if we could have the table cleared, cleaned, and fresh plates for the custard tarts and custard buns, the waiter started, then stopped half way. A manager then took over and gave up. The intimacy waiter finally came back and apologised. For a £600 meal, experience was absolutely revolting. Much much better options in London! Try Min Jiang where the duck is less fat and dim sum much more refined and service is impeccable.

Not the best! With no table cloths it looks a bit cafe style. But prices are not cafe style. Been to several restaurants over the last COVID week with table cloths! The Truffle Oil Noodles were the most unchinese dish I have ever had, more suited to SAN Carlos, the Italian a few doors up. When you are paying £38 for for some Beef, without a vegetable or garnish, the least one would expect would be some accompanying rice, but no, a small bowl of boiled rice = £5 giving a total for the dish of £43, not worth it I am afraid. My wife’s dish of Scallops with Chilli were literally covered with dozens and dozens of red chillies making the dish inedible. Our Chablis was not served at the right temperature for us! Look, it is in a very posh area and a posh environment, albite no table cloths (like in the pictures) and it is COVID time, but we did not like the food or the value.

Truly disappointing, great looking building , really nice staff, but we went for the food and that’s where it starts to go wrong . Dim Sum and duck served together , seemed a little unusual , they were ok not great, then the first of the mains came out then nothing , we did ask as everyone else was being served , another few minutes but by this time the rice was cold and the one meal that did come cold and congealing .... we did listen to the stories of how this restaurant will be Michelin starred etc etc but compared to other such restaurants this one has a mountain to climb . The menu chosen was a set meal so nothing awkward I’d suggest .
The head waiter was most apologetic , and did refund one meal .
Not the best!

The food here is authentic Chinese food that we have eaten in Hongkong. The Dim Sum was a Prawn and Edamame with Truffle. Maybe not quite so authentic
The outer soft pastry was light and not gooey
The Lobster Roll fried in Tofu was sensational.Soft shell crab also fresh and delicious. I think it best to make a reservation as the receptionist makes it difficult to just come in off the street for a reservation even though there were many empty tables at lunch

We came here to try the Chinese new year menu. We ordered glutinous rice with waxed meat, roast chicken and spinach tofu with mushroom. All dishes were presented beautifully and tasted great too. Service was attentive and courteous. Atmosphere and decor is classy and elegant. Definitely a good choice for classy chinese meal when you are in London.

The food quality was good, portions very small, prices very high. This is not at all good value for money and left us feeling hungry after a bill of over ÂŁ300 for two. At the beginning service was great, but as soon as the first course was served the staff disappeared.
Our wine was in an ice bucket on the other side of the restaurant and the wine waiter only appeared infrequently.. All in all a hugely expensive and disappointing experience.

Heard of this restaurant famous for their Peking Duck. Indeed it’s really good. Only disappointment was just after the Chef finished slicing the duck our 2nd choice of Salt & Pepper duck came to table less than 3mins. I believed it was not the original duck we ordered & brought to kitchen to prepare for our 2nd course . Paying £100 for this Peking Duck we should get a freshly prepared 2nd course preparation. Tim Sum & service were good.

What a disappointment, main dishes at ÂŁ148 per person, poor service had to order drinks 3 times, no guidance on the menu. Really poor, China Town would have delivered better at half the price. Avoid.

My wife and I had a meal here to celebrate our Wedding Anniversary.
The evening was a delight. We went with their set menu option as well as ordering two further dishes that my wife enjoyed.
The service was second to none and the food was served with poise and speed (but not too fast, just right).
The cocktails were a delight (we had a purple empress and a hidden treasure).
The food was stunning, extremely tasty and everything you would to taste/experience in such a place.
No faults at all. From start to finish, it was a great meal and evening. Definitely worth the price and for celebratory occasions.
Oh and you can order from here as well for take away! Top quality Chinese at home. ;)
Thanks again Imperial Teeasure for such a wonderful evening.

Have you ever felt like you were invisible in a restaurant? Well try Imperial Treasures, If you are not of Asian descent, be prepared to wait for service and food. We arrived and were seated immediately in an area with 5 tables. Only one table was being served. We ordered a Diet Coke and a red wine. The cheapest glass of wine was 33 pounds or about $40 US. It was a Brunello and I did expect it to be pricey.
The 5 tables around us filled up fast. And speaking of the table, for a Michelin restaurant not to have a tablecloth is unacceptable. Anyway, back to the service. We ordered 2 appetizers and 2 entrees. The entrees were very simple beef and broccoli and chicken with cashews. Rice was extra but 30 pounds for a bowl of rice??? That is about $39 US for rice. The tables around us were all seated with Asian customers. The waiters and staff fell all over these tables. They had Peking duck sliced at the tables with several courses while we waited for our entrees. An hour later, after all the other tables had finished their meals, we finally received our 2 simple entrees.
The table next to ours, which had been seated about 10 minutes after us, had already finished their Peking duck as well as 2 other courses, paid their bill and left and we were just finishing our entrees. They immediately seated another group of 4 at that table. Then to add insult to injury, when we asked for our check, our waiter thought it more prudent to take the order of that new table of 4 before we got our check. Our waiter served us our food and refilled our water once and that is all the service we received. We truly felt invisible to the entire staff. Awful
All in all, for a Michelin restaurant, this was certainly no treasure. I love Chinese food but this was nothing special.
We paid $276 US for mediocre overpriced Chinese food and lousy service. It is right next to the Hotel Sofitel where we were staying. Eat at the Wild Honey at the hotel! Excellent!

Refined Cantonese Cuisine. Elegant setting and discrete service. Iberico cha Siu is delicious as is the Cantonese roast duck. The kung pao chicken is also nicely done. Vegetables are delicate and perfectly cooked. The only thing is portions are very small so order a lot.

I specially booked this restaurant for dinner as my family enjoyed dining in our own country - it’s one of our favourite restaurants!
We ordered three individual set menus.
Clearly, the cuisine is Cantonese, authentic as promised.
What fell short of “standards”, when compared to the Singapore ones, were:
1. Service was significantly less attentive. On multiple occasions we had to call for tea refills. Considering the amount of service charge paid here, this is not good.
2. Ambience was modern, lavish, but didn’t have a table cloth. This is an upscale Chinese restaurant, how could they not afford table clothes?
3. The soup offered in their one and only set menu was hot and sour soup. Indeed I enjoyed it, but it was not authentically Cantonese. Usually we go to good Cantonese restaurants to drink good Cantonese soups. This is not acceptable.
4. We ordered three individual set menus, but the main courses were served on plates meant for sharing. This does not constitute “individual set menus”. This is not acceptable, considering how high class this restaurant has pitched itself to be in London.
I’m ok with some Chinese staff not able to converse in mandarin or Cantonese. But the above four points are simply not the way to go.

St. James's
Perennially fashionable since the days of Henry VIII, the aristocratic “Clubland” of St James's is a premier destination for high end craft and bespoke design. Here you’ll lose count of the Royal Warrants (which indicate that the Royal Family patronizes the establishment) seen in shop front windows, even during a short stroll to bordering Green Park or St James’s Park. With the brightly lit and constantly buzzing junction of Piccadilly Circus at its northeast corner and none of Central London too far away, this is an surprisingly central and accessible part of town, especially given its prosperous demeanor.
