We wanted a restaurant where we could have a leisurely celebratory lunch in Marylebone. Il Bareto was a great choice. The staff were friendly and hospitable. The tables were well spaced with comfortable seating. The basement restaurant is dimly but pleasantly lit. The food was...More

Very professionally run Italian restaurant in central west end, nice menu, good service, with a good choice of food, all well cooked and well presented, excellent use of ingredients. Everything very fresh. All the pastas are cooked in house by a group of well trained...More

This restaurant is stylish and well run. Staff know what they are about and manners are impeccable- you are made to feel special. The food is well presented and flavoursome- we opted to share a range of lighter dishes on a hot summer evening. Our...More

Great ambiance, very buzzy but this didn't stop us from enjoying our own conversations. Food was great, and the team were friendly and attentive but without being OTT. Would definitely recommend, and we will be returning.

My friend and I stumbled on this little Italian by chance. It was a lovely day and we sat outside on the sidewalk. When we came in they told us there was a minimum spend of £25 a person and a 90 min stay. Seemed...More

I went to the place for a business dinner and admittedly the food and atmoshpere is pretty decent. One thing spoilt the whole impression was the wine service. We carefully chose the one we wanted and the wine oder was taken by a usual waiter...More

Love the ambience, menu fab and cocktails are great , but very mixed front facing customer service, especially for reservations. Normally book through open table with no issues, but a 25% off good bill offer that popped up on line when booking was not respected...More

Dear Sheila, It is always good having feedbacks from customers which help us improving our service. Regarding the "25% off the bill" offer, trying to do our best in customer service, we did apply the discount on your bill following the idea that mistakes can...More

Basement restaurant off the beaten path offering a very good wine and food menu variety. Food is tasty and the service good. Ambience is warm and cozy. Would recommend making a reservation.

Marylebone offers what so many London neighbourhoods
cannot: a village feel coupled with urban convenience.
Much of its success rests in its location. Wedged
between the northeastern corner of Hyde Park and the
southern end of Regent's Park and with a number of
Tube stations within easy reach, Marylebone is as
pedestrian friendly as Central London gets. The
bustling shopping mecca of Oxford Street separates it

Il Baretto Wine Bar and Restaurant in London's very happening Marylebone Village is another winner from the stable of restaurateur Arjun Waney, who brought you the stellar Roka, Zuma and La Petite Maison. If you're looking for a super Italian cuisine and would like to avoid both chain restaurants and designer price tags, Il Baretto in Blandford Street is an excellent choice. Located between Marylebone High Street and Baker Street, Il Baretto has a smart wine bar located on the ground floor and a cavernous basement dining room that is a stylish restaurant for group parties and celebrations. Popular with a local crowd, as well as with tourists and shoppers from Bond Street, this restaurant serves up authentic Italian recipes and we love the spaghetti con astice with lobster, sweet chilli and garlic sauce, and the risotto ai carciofi, a creamy artichoke risotto. Pizzas and dishes from the robata grill are winners too.
