My son and I went to the Bolingbroke as we both fancied a burger. The ones we were served were probably the nastiest we have ever had. We asked for medium rare . The meat(?) we were served was grey and limp. Not the kind of burger you expect for £11. They were tepid and made colder by a slice... More

Had breakfast here last Sunday on Mothers day. Food was great and staff were very attentive considering they were very booked at lunch and dinner for Mothers Day.

We've been to the Bolingbroke a few times, so this is something of an aggregate review... We've only ever ordered roasts and each time they've been big, hearty plates with generous servings of meat (particularly the chicken) and some of the best gravy we've had in a long time. Only gripe would be that they skimped on the roast potatoes... More

This is a must book venue to avoid disappointment. Great food and value for a terrific Sunday lunch. Varied menu but the roast beef was amazing with loads of excellent veg and roasties. Fit for a king. Good sweets as well.

I have eaten several times in the Bolingbroke both at lunch and dinner. Always busy and buzzy. Staff very helpful and effecient. The food is superior to that found in most pubs and I recommend you follow the locals and try this one out. Good to book though.

Drove around Northcote Rd looking for a place to have lunch. This pub caught our eye. Was a weekday so not too busy. Seems to be a regular meeting spot for new mums. Opted for the skinny burger and the chicken schnitzel - both nice. Part of the Three Cheers chain who do produce good food. I'm currently drinking my... More

Our for lunch with friends and intending to steer clear of Sunday roast (the old "it's never as good as what you'd cook yourself") we walked for miles avoiding all the usual gastro pubs and then realised we'd go hungry if we didn't decide on somewhere so stumbled into the bolingbroke. We were lucky to get a table at well... More

We often walk to Northcote Road on a Saturday for a little light shopping, so this is our go-to lunch venue. Small but reliable menu, with often an interesting range of specials. Fish is always a good choice, more often than not cooked lightly and deftly with subtle flavours and interesting vegetables. Decent wine and beer choices. Worth making a... More

Like another recent reviewer we experienced very rude, curt service here from a female member of staff. Last time we ever set foot in the place.
