We held our wedding reception here last month and could not have been happier with the venue, food and amazing team. From the moment we arrived every member of staff was so friendly, helpful and made all of our guests feel welcome and looked after. The pub looked fantastic and the day went so smoothly thanks to Mark and his... More

Fabulous selection of Fullers beers, on draft, as based in Smithfield "Porter" (the beer of the marker Porter) is a must! Plus the choice of pies is incredible. All freshly made and must be had with liquor (parsley sauce). Bring visitors overseas or mates from out of town! Ideal.

Attended recently for a small wake and there was an area in the corner with a couple of booths, perfect for the occasion - until it got really busy and loads of people piled in after work...maybe should have been roped off. Anyway, nice drinks and food, has character.

After a visit to the oldest church in England next door, we stopped for a Shiraz at this rather well lit and spacious pub in London. It was not busy as we were early. The staff was helpful We ordered the south African Shiraz. Great drop especially being in a vintage pub in England.

Service was very nice. She recommended a couple beers that were a special edition and I bought 2 extra to take home. Had the fish and chips and asked them to take the skin off and the kitchen responded well. Just a great late lunch! Superb!

A nice pub which I expect from Fullers. Very nice interior but unfortunately it is laid out as a dinning area rather than casual drinking area, at least during our week day lunch time visit. Food is up to the usual Fullers standards seemed even more pricey. We aren't fussed about table service but here it seemed rather erratic, attentive... More

Its nice to eat early in a nicely looked after pub who seems to have a good idea to look after a pub keep it clean which goes... More

This is another great Fullers pub instantly recognisable with its' unique classic interior and with plenty of atmosphere and character. There was waitress service for lunch so there was no need to order at the bar which was good. Unfortunately, the Coke was flat but it wasn't charged for and a replacement was given. The food was flavoursome but rather... More

Staying in City of London

Neighbourhood Profile
City of London
From its ancient past as a Roman trading outpost to its 21st century status as the wealthiest square mile in the world, the financial district known simply as “The City” is one of London's most historic and fascinating neighbourhoods. Here high rise office towers such as Norman Foster’s Gherkin mingle with Roman ruins and architectural marvels from virtually every era in between, including Christopher Wren's glorious St.Paul's Cathedral, and John Soane's dauntingly classicist Bank of England. This neighbourhood is also home to some of the finest restaurants and plushest hotels in Europe, in addition to an assortment of of watering holes, upscale shops, and Tube stations. During the week, the City is abuzz with white collar workers going about their business; the weekend sees this area turn into a quiet haven for sightseers.
