A lovely restaurant within City of London. Staff were friendly. Good service. The sea bream is one of the best dishes that I have tasted.

This was the best restaurant experience I've ever had! I've always wanted to eat at a Michelin starred restaurant and Galvin La Chapelle was recommended to me by a colleague. The whole experience was fantastic. Not only were the staff friendly and super efficient, but...More

Surprisingly affordable food for a restaurant of this standard, the wine less so. Great ambience too in a stunning building. Superb service from our waitress Ellie. The food was very good indeed, not as outstanding as I have had at other Michelin star restaurants, but...More

I have eaten at Lachapelle numerous times. However, extremely disappointed when I went there with my brother for a drink before dinner there. We went to the bar and my brother ordered Bacardi. The bartender condescendingly told him we don’t serve that here, do you...More

Superb-great food, great service-professional but very welcoming and informal. Had the chefs 3 course menu, chicken with wild garlic risotto was the star for me-amazing. Not inexpensive but worth it for a special occasion.

Dressing code is very relaxed. Casual smart was how I did it. When I dined there, there were people with jeans & polo all the way to suit and night dresses. So I guess it's more on your occasion rather than the restaurant.

Hi Wendy, yes that would be absolutely fine to wear smart jeans. The dress code at La Chapelle is 'smart casual'.

Description
The third restaurant to be opened by acclaimed chef brothers Chris and Jeff Galvin, La Chapelle has been consistently praised, winning no less than 8 top restaurant awards in its first year, including AA London Restaurant of the Year, and Tatler magazine's Restaurant of the Year. Chef Patron, Jeff Galvin, provides a menu of modern French cuisine, gaining a Michelin star in the 2011 Red Guide, just a year after the restaurant opened. There is also a menu gourmand, prix fixe lunch, early dinner menu, and Sunday Roast lunch menu. The service, under the direction of Alessandro Piombino and his team, effortlessly combines warm, friendly and attentive hospitality with a fine sense of tradition and decorum, in keeping with the grandeur of this Grade II-listed building. The restaurant is one of the few restaurants in London to hold a vertical list of Hermitage La Chapelle wines.
