On visiting this restaurant a couple of weeks ago we we greeted by very polite and friendly staff and the restaurant is very welcoming. The menu has lots of choice of great dishes too! I had the steak and my girlfriend had the lamb stew. My girlfriends dish was superb but mine however was the opposite. My steak was like... More

I've had fantastic takeaway pizza from the Hill on numerous occasions; I highly recommend the Americano (spicy chorizo, peppers, red onion, tomato). N.B. Some of the reviews below are a little bizarre - I agree that the pizzas are thankfully nothing like Dominos (far far better)! And the manager definitely does speak Spanish (he's Ecuadorean...)

I live just around the corner and called in with my son to order a takeaway pizza. We ordered a couple of drinks and sat at the bar to wait for our food. Pizza's took about 15 minutes to arrive which was perfect as it gave us time to finish our drinks. You can tell the pizza's were 'homemade' they... More

How can you serve a cold pizza and then a burnt one? The manager only spoke Spanish. I speak Spanish but he didn't speak either English or Spanish. Really dreadful foood which cost a lot of mone. I

Been here a few times but not for a while was good to see it is still nice, and food is great. Little on he pricey side, but worth it. Genuine Ecuadorian dishes and nice mediterrean food.

We went to our local Italian/Argentinian (everyone needs a local one of these) for lunch on Sunday, and had a great time. I had a really good thin-base crispy vegetable pizza and my other (better) half had a medium rare steak that was cooked to perfection with some tasty herb-covered chips. Our starters were a simple but well executed bruschetta,... More

We spent a wonderful Saturday evening at the Hill Restaurant eating delicious food in this lovely restaurant, the highlight was being able to eat while listening to beautiful and ambient live guitar playing. We would highly recommend trying this restaurant.

This was our 5th visit to The Hill, which is a short walk from central Greenwich - I wanted to write and thank the staff for another great night - the service was excellent, and they don't interrupt you which is nice for a couples evening. Some people may find that hit or miss, but there are always many staff... More

The restaurant were very patient with us as we had unfortunately put back our booking time four times and didn't arrive until 9pm. We were soon soothed by the atmosphere, much enhanced by the gentleman playing an acoustic guitar. Staff were pleasant and attentive and the food very nice indeed. The Iberici ham, carved at the bar was delicious.

We ordered a vegetarian pizza and I can swear it was the worse pizza I ever had in my life. The dough tasted completely like frozen one. Was not even any close to Domino's...Will avoid at any cost.

Description
A warm and friendly restaurant and bar with a light and airy atmosphere serving a wonderfully varied Mediterranean menu (with a distinctly Latin American twist!).
We are located in Greenwich, South East London, on the corner of Royal Hill and Point Hill, just a short walk from Greenwich DLR and mainline station.

Staying in Greenwich

Neighbourhood Profile
Greenwich
Greenwich Mean Time starts here, so to speak, as the very concept of global time was established at Royal Observatory, just one of several buildings of architectural interest in Greenwich. Indeed, the whole of Greenwich's historic town center, its Royal Park and a number of related buildings (and one world famous ship, the Cutty Sark) make up the UNESCO World Heritage site known as Maritime Greenwich. Today a laser beam is shot out across the night sky from the Observatory to mark the location of the Prime Meridian. Other bold (some say brash) 21st century additions to the area include landmarks such as The O2 entertainment complex (previously known as the Millennium Dome) and the Air Line cable cars, which offer scenic transport across the Thames between North Greenwich and the Royal Docks.
