Having had lunch before a matinee we didn't want much before the evening theatre and Caravan was perfect. A good selection of cocktails and other drinks. An interesting and unusual selection of 'small' plates. Attentive staff who didn't hassle were pleasant and efficient.

Great food, a lot of choice, service is young and very attentive. They have been super nice with us and gave us a table in the sun. We were starving and they served us very quickly. There was a little misunderstanding on one plate we ordered but they changed it in a blink of an eye and again super nicely.... More

Not the most comfy place, visited on a cool spring day and kept my coat on. The food is just weird, I just don't know what the theme is other than weird. Smoked salmon was enjoyable (some Japanese flavours in there) but not so fond of the Burmese chicken salad and the shrimp & grits looked completely unappetising.

I went to Caravan for a business lunch and it was amazing. We asked to waitress to bring us loads of different dishes (they come in little plates so it's really easy to share). Every dish had its own flavor, spicy, exploding, smooth and very tasty. The staff was extremely nice and helpful, very polite and friendly. Very good if... More

Spoilt for choice extensive menu. Coffee was fab. Enjoyed the baked eggs, a bit more spicy than anticipated however different from the usual breakfast. Took a while for it to come to the table. Worthwhile when it did.

A real nice choice of different small and large plates of fresh food, all sounding very tasty, in the bohemian Exmouth Market and its street food temptations - but if it's cold, the Caravan is more comfortable than eating in the street. The menu is changing regularly. Very helpful and smiling staff.

Went here for brunch today with friends. Service was a bit slow, and as we arrived at 11.15 we were in between the breakfast and brunch menus so had to wait till 12 to order from the lunch menus. Food was well presented and tasty, if a little over priced. It was a nice place but not sure I'd go... More

There were 14 of us family and friends and the meal consists of a sharing starter and nibbles then a main course of your choice and a pudding, the food is very different, heaps of sharing dishes and my main meal was very good, the pudding not so good but that was down to my choice of pudding. A very... More

Busy cafe in Exmouth Market Had an extremely strong (for me but not for my companion) coffee with a delicious sweet doughnut. Highly recommend. Lovely staff too

Staying in Clerkenwell

Neighbourhood Profile
Clerkenwell
Owing to its proximity to Smithfield Market – the site of an ancient meat market which remains in operation today – Clerkenwell boasts a plethora of globally renowned restaurants, fabulous local eateries, and some of London's favorite pubs. This isn't merely a focal point for all things foodie though. Spend enough time wondering through the area's maze of streets and you might become accustomed to the litany of slinky models passing between Clerkenwell's handful of fashion houses. Far outnumbering the models are craftspeople and designers, many of them are more than happy to welcome visitors into their studios and showrooms.
