Second visit and just as good as first. Friendly, helpful staff and wonderful food from limited menu. Good value, decent portions and well presented. Love their home delivery service and will get back when I can, but ,limited opening makes it difficult form where I live in Suffolk Only small problem is I come by train and walk and signage... We were given the gift of a salmon carving masterclass by a friend. The whole experience from beginning to end was fantastic. We were greeted by Darren Matson (who holds the Guinness World Record for salmon carving) and immediately felt at ease. Darren is very friendly and knowledgeable and also has a great sense of humour! He took us on... More

Went there for our anniversary lunch! It was a tricky to get to as it is on the hub of industrial site! However once in inside the view was magical watching barges going by and in front of the Olympic stadium! Staff were attentive and friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Food was very very good. Prepared with care,... More

Excellent location and ambience. The food and service excellent and staff were very attentive and friendly. Information in regard to the history of Formans and explanations of what was on offer for tourist was great. Highly recommend a visit

I really wanted to like this place. I love their high quality produce and the venue is a great location on a canal hidden in the jacket wick warehouses. The staff Alex super lovely but the decor and food is like experiencing a time warp to the late 90s and this journey comes at a cost, the meals are not... More

We visited Forman's this weekend; a hidden gem for more than one reason.. We walked through Queen Elizabeth park and over the bridge to reach this restaurant. You immediately spot the curved salmon coloured building as you come over the bridge. At odds with it’s immediate surroundings this a 5 star restaurant all the way. With views looking out over... I've watched the fortunes of Forman's over the years as the owners have struggled with fire, flood and finally the bureaucracy of the Olympics arriving at their (former, now replaced with a large stadium) doorstep - but haven't had the opportunity to visit the restaurant until last weekend. Finding ourselves staying in Stratford and with a friend from the US... More

Booked for a Saturday at 2pm expecting this place to have a lunch menu. However their website is difficult to navigate properly so it was unclear to me that the only day they do lunch is on Sunday and they serve breakfast until 3pm but call it brunch. So we ordered the only hot meal that was un-breakfast-like being the... More

Thanks for your message. I do agree with your comments on the menu - and we are in fact in the process of extending the Saturday brunch menu so it includes lunch items too, as per our Sunday lunch menu. I can't say I agree with you on the décor being like an Essex night club though! (Although never having... More

What a wonderful venue, the staff were very professional. Attention to detail was second to none. Our meal was served with a smile, the beef was perfectly cooked. Nothing was too much trouble, wine replenished instantly. The views were amazing,Olympic park being the main attraction. For a special occasion you cannot better Foremans.

Well Forman's didn't fail to impress. We had our annual works summer outing there last Friday the 16th September. As some of us had travelled down from Derbyshire, setting off at 6am in the morning; after our tour around the Olympic Village, Velodrome Track Taster and a wizz down the AMOrbit slide we were all ready for our meal at... Formans' restaurant is based in the smokehouse of H.Forman & Son, the world's oldest salmon smokers. As well as having a viewing gallery into the smokehouse - a la Willy Wonka - the views out of the restaurant window to the Olympic Park are unrivalled. The food is the finest quality British gastronomy served in an informal setting. The wine list is exclusively English and all-British spirits are served from the bar. Forman's Restaurant has a delightful terrace and outdoor riverside lounge as well as a spectacular 1000sq ft art gallery which can be hired for private events.
