A few years ago, this was a good restaurant - now it's become routine, and often sloppy in terms of both cooking and service. A perfectly good lobster soup was spoiled by the addition of far too much brandy. Note to the chef: less is...More

Ok, aside from the fact that I thought it was a nice atmosphere, we were seated quickly, and the food was great, the service is something I'd like to highlight here. I am from NYC, so my service expectations seem to be a bit higher...More

We arrived and chose the set menu, which was really tasty and all the group enjoyed their choices. The service was a little less impressive, we were served by a different waiter at every stage of the meal which felt a bit impersonal. When asked...More

Having been taken to Hix Soho for a Mother's Day treat I enjoyed it so much I took some friends to share the experience. Service from walking in the door is exemplary, friendly and efficient whilst at same time casual; none of that hovering in...More

If you like small portions then this is the pace for you. The Hix fish and chips was more of a sprat with the chips more akin to that provided by fast food outlets. The two pork belly cubes for my main course were each...More

My last night in London and my son and I searched for somewhere to eat in London. We stumbled on Hix. We were welcomed and had a great meal. I was impressed by the quality of the food and service. There are two levels. A...More

Small selection within three courses on pre theatre menu. Soup and salad to start, then we both had steaks and very good French fries. Refreshing sorbet to finish and a couple of glasses of crisp rose. Only small gripe is that we were unable to...More
