I only dropped by for a quick drink but, as someone who grew up in the area and was last in the 'Alex' over 48 years ago (when I was just a little bit under age!), it's probably pretty safe to say that you don't...More

Wow, thanks for the lovely review! We're delighted today's Alexandra is reminiscent of the Alex you knew 48 years ago. Keeping that village/community feel is so important to us. Don't leave another 48 years ;)

One of my favourite pubs. Always a great atmosphere, reasonably priced drinks and super friendly staff. Food looks great too. Highly recommended.

Thanks so much! Just lovely to read this and the whole team appreciated your kind words. You must try one of our homemade pies next time you visit, I promise you they are as good as they look :)

Used to go here Fridays after work with about 10+ of us. Bar staff are extremely rude and one was borderline sexist. Haven't been back since.More

Hi there, I'm sorry to hear this. We have a great bunch of people working here and to have a complaint about rudeness is out of the ordinary to say the least. It would be really helpful if you could contact me directly at the...More

The Alexandra is very popular amongst sport fans (right hand side) and families (left hand side). They offer a good variety of different (!!!) Sunday Roasts. The roast itself is like home but not as much meat as one would expect. The staff are friendly...More

Thanks for taking the time to write, much appreciated. I'm sorry you feel there was not as much meat as you might expect, that is not normally a comment we receive-quite the opposite in fact. Next time I'll make sure there is enough :)

The 3rd best pub in Wimbledon behind The Prince Of Wales and All Bar One and certainly the best on a hot boiling day (it has an amazing roof garden). Food is good - not not brilliant but still good none the less - and...More

Myself and five members of my family had Christmas dinner at the Alexandra, everything from start to finish was exceptional, from the young man at the front door in his Christmas suit, the waitresses, the management, and the chef, we could not fault one thing,...More

We had the Alexandra recommended to us by the proprietor of a nearby closed restaurant. We didn't know what to expect from a pub but were extremely pleased with what we had. I chose the fillet of cod on mashed potato with wilted spinach and...More

Recently went out for my birthday lunch. Stumbled upon this little gem of a pub after leaving another place as lunch was not served there until 1pm, what's that all about. 12.15pm is lunch time to me! Walked in to be greeted by a lovely...More

Once more unto the Alexandra. I went to this old Victorian pub some months ago and had had an excellent meal there in Wimbledon not far from the station. So I went to check if the quality was consistent. I’m pleased to say that it...More

Hey David thanks once more for a brilliant review. I'm so glad you had the chance to chat with the Zimbabwean lads, they are all absolutely fantastic and form the backbone of our pub. Thanks also for mentioning the Christmas day meal again, the more...More

Stopped here for a drink and snack before the theatre and discovered the burger bar upstairs, all a bit weird as you can't take kids up there but still a nice idea. Their range of drinks in the burger part was limited. We ordered the...More

Hi there and thanks for the review, much appreciated. The chicken is great isn't it? It's one of my favourite meals we do and a real treat. I'm afraid we simply have to use frozen fries, it would be impossible for us to go fresh...More
