My friends and I went to The Loft, which is the upstairs of The Alexandria. There is a well heated outdoor area, but because we didn't have the best weather, we sat inside a quirky bar area. The atmosphere is lovely, with people of all ages there - mostly friends. We ate the best food, good sized portions and fairly... More

I really like this pub and have been going there for over 5 years. A good pub to take friends to or meet new people in. There are two downstairs bars and the terrace bar upstairs.

I have moved all the way to Surrey but still drive down for their Sunday roast! I honestly think it is the best ever for it. Besides that it's a friendly atmosphere as the manager is great and does a great fun pub quiz. Great pub and a must visit in Wimbledon.

Large pub but still has the feeling of a local. I come here with friends from time to time. Not cheap.

The perfect place for a beer in the sun, or even some tasty, FRESH calamari and whopping plate of nachos. Well that's what we had. The outside space above the Alexandra Bar is a sun trap during the afternoon. For us there is no better place to go on a nice day. No children allowed upstairs (we do love them)... More

Was working in the area and was in dire need of a good lunch so popped into the alexandra and sampled one of their fantastic Sunday roasts. Ordered the roast pork and was presented with a very generous portion of v tender pork, crackling, roast spuds veg and a HUGE Yorkshire pud. At 14 quid it's not cheap but it... More

This was my local pub when I lived in England. Plenty of drinks to choose from, they pour a great Guinness and the food is also worth a visit... especially the Sunday Roast. The staff churns a bit but that's like most places. The one thing about the staff even with the every so often changes is that they have... More

The alex is my favourite pub going there since year's. The staff is amazing and the food is just marvellous respect to the chef's, they doing a great job. The best is when you come on Sunday for Sunday roast the Yorkshire puddings are amazing and huge and the meat so tender. Can only give 5 stars.

We watched the recent England v Scotland rugby match here and it's a great venue to chill out and watch a sporting event.

We visited on a Saturday evening it was very boisterous. However we got a table and ordered their garden platter - it was great value and delicious. Some staff were helpful but others werent They were far too busy talking to their friends rather than taking our order. So not bad but not outstanding either.

Description
It's mainly a gastropub/pub. I'm surprised The Alexandra only brings up some awful hotel in London as this place is cracking for food, maybe the best pub in Wimbledon.
