Staying over night on a London business trip I fancied pasta so after googling around went to Zizzi. It was my first and probably last visit. I wander in and wait to be seated. The place is half empty, there are empty tables by windows. Despite this the waiter leads me to a crowded row of tables for two where... More

We went there for lunch, my sis ate delicious Spaghetti Carbonara and I enjoyed the best Pizza of my life, it was a super thin Prosciutto Fresca, which it totally would recommend. The Restaurants Interior is cosy and bright, even though there is a lot of black furniture, however everything seems really good combined. Our competent and friendly waitress RENATA,... More

We had the fritto misto as a starter, which was a weak copy of what you'd get in a genuine Italian restaurant and fried for too long. For the mains, we both had pasta, which was OK in taste, but the portion was rather a real Italian first course. If this is served as a main course, the portions should... More

The food was very good - we had lamb, pizza and pasta. Kids meals were a great deal including a starter, entrée; & dessert. Portions were on the small side, at least from an American perspective

Pasta and Pizza tasted well and it's a lovely place. I like a lot the open kitchen so you can see what's going on there. The service was friendly

Wife and i were looking for someplace to eat close to the Tower of London. There weren't a great many options on Sunday night. My wife was also pregnant and her stomach wasn't really giving me much guidance. We stopped in here because it seemed pretty basic and safe. I had a baked pasta, penne della casa, and my wife... I have visited Zizzi in Tower Hill for the first time. We were served by Reivars and I have to admit he was excellent and was extremely attentive. I ordered the chicken pasta which I really enjoyed it. I will return again and hope to be served by Reivars.

After touring the area around the Tower, we were looking for a place to eat. On previous visits, we had eaten at some of the other restaurants, so we decided to try Zizzi. My wife and I shared a pizza and my kids had pasta. Pizza was a thin crust style, which we prefer. While it was simple,we thought the... More

At Zizzi we like to do things a little differently. We don’t do over-complicated recipes or scrimpy portion sizes. We’re all about the well-chosen ingredients, simply put together to make exceptional Italian food.Less than a 5 minute walk from Tower Hill tube station, our Tower Hill restaurant is located right by London’s iconic Tower of London. And although our restaurant sits at the base of the stunningly modern Tower Place building, just to the right of our entrance is All Hallows by the Tower: the oldest church in the city of London. In fact, it’s the final resting place of several who were beheaded at the Tower back in the day. But try not to think about that while you’re eating. Wifi available here

Staying in City of London

Neighbourhood Profile
City of London
From its ancient past as a Roman trading outpost to its 21st century status as the wealthiest square mile in the world, the financial district known simply as “The City” is one of London's most historic and fascinating neighbourhoods. Here high rise office towers such as Norman Foster’s Gherkin mingle with Roman ruins and architectural marvels from virtually every era in between, including Christopher Wren's glorious St.Paul's Cathedral, and John Soane's dauntingly classicist Bank of England. This neighbourhood is also home to some of the finest restaurants and plushest hotels in Europe, in addition to an assortment of of watering holes, upscale shops, and Tube stations. During the week, the City is abuzz with white collar workers going about their business; the weekend sees this area turn into a quiet haven for sightseers.
