This place is very unclean, the entire place could do with a spring clean and the staff should clean the tables and area properly after each customer leaves. We had to wipe our own tables and chairs of crumbs and rice. Me and 2 friends who are not from London visited this place one weekend. It's nothing special. The Sag... More

Amazing! This restaurant is the real thing in London and does not even compare to all 'fake' Indian/Bengali restaurants in town! The byriani is real 'khatchi' Dhaka style. I can tell, I am from Bangladesh. All ingredients are fresh! All dishes are excellent. Excellent value dor money.

One goal while in London was to find some authentic Indian food. However, not finding the right place at the right time, and traveling with my girl who would rather nearly starve than eat Indian food, it was difficult. We happened upon this place which had a take-away service window at the sidewalk. The long line, noise and aromas lured... More

Visited this restaurant for lunch with friends. Nice food, not very expensive. Quick service. Located very close to whitechapel tube station.

Restaurant offers good value for money, with great selection of grills. Portions are generous and frequented by ethnic locals which is a sure sign of authenticity. Highly recommended, but do not expect too much with the service.

It hit me like a ton of bricks. No. Flower!.Let me explain. You do not expect a very clean, tastefully decorated, small but efficient restaurant in a crowded street, not renowned for restaurants. Maybe just for its crowd! At lunch time my friend and I were wandering around the White Chapel Road just about 100 yards from the White Chapel... More

Staying in Whitechapel

Neighbourhood Profile
Whether you're here for its dynamic street life, world class galleries or famed curry houses, you're bound to be wowed by the uniquely cosmopolitan flavor of Whitechapel. Long gone are the days when Jack the Ripper stalked its streets. And despite his mysterious legacy bringing throngs of curiosity driven tour groups to its back alleys and otherwise serene garden squares, these days you're more likely to catch a cutting edge fashionista scurrying through its age old lanes than criminals of any sort.
