Having had a birthday voucher to Sketch we decided on afternoon tea. We were early so had a cocktail at the bar (£18). The Gallery is decorated in pink and looks like something onboard the Titanic before it sunk. It had people playing string instruments, and a feast of things to please the eye. Tea is what you make of... More

One of the coolest restaurants I have ever been to, and the food rivals Michelin-starred darlings - very impressed with their ability to accommodate allergies, and loved the drink menu! I have dined here twice now, once for afternoon tea and once for dinner - both were exquisite and I was so impressed with everything from the food to the... More

The Sketch Gallery offers the best ambiance for what can only be described as eccentric. This amazingly decorated property in the most precious part of London is a marvel for the eyes but sadly does not meet the expectations for culinarily experience. We had an extortionately priced afternoon tea on a Sunday. Be it that the it was a Sunday... More

Great environment and setting. The service is also very good, its a fun place to visit! The food is good, but nothing special. The food is over priced for the quality, cocktails are great! Overall, a nice place to go whilst visiting London

My husband and I and a female colleague dined at Sketch, after she had seen it on pinterest. My guess is most of the 20-30 something women taking selfies in the restaurant also saw it there. I do think if you fit the demographic, enjoy your cocktails, like the trendier spots, you will love this place. It just was not... More

Sat in the gallery room for afternoon tea. The setting is beautiful, even the staff uniforms are like a peice of art. The live music was also a lovely touch. Menu is quirky and fun putting a big smile on your face. Would recommend the vanilla tea, absolutely beautiful! The food was spectacular, especially the pistachio choux bun! Definitely some... More

We had a very impromptu dinner here and really enjoyed it, the stand out for me was the duck. The service was excellent. After dinner we went to the very space age bar with pods, quite a unique experience.

I love cocktails, love them! However spending £80 on four cocktails is mental. I don't mind spending money on food and drink, in fact I'm great at doing it, much to the wife's annoyance. The cocktails were good but not awesomely good, which for this kind of money you'd expect them to be awesomely good. They did, at my request,... More

We heard it was a special place to go to and it is . The setting is something completely different . The service was perfect , the food very good , only the wine is a bit expensive . It is an experience.

Had lovely brunch to celebrate friends 50th birthday, place and attention from staff was excellent, food was lovely, however I think paying £4.75 for an Americano which was served in a cup is a little overpriced. The ambience of the place is wonderful,

Staying in Mayfair

Neighbourhood Profile
Mayfair
Set beside some of London's best parks and home to world-class galleries, luxurious hotels, and famed thoroughfares, the ultra upscale Mayfair is one of London's most exclusive haunts. Here the shopping is haute, the dining is exquisite, and the nightlife is vibrant. A casual stroll through the area’s chic streets will reveal that Michelin stars and chauffeured cars are practically the norm here. Even if you're on a tight budget, this exceptionally well connected swath of Central London is worth exploring, if only for the chance to take a peak at the goings on of upper crust English society.
