Medlar is a fine dining experience. The food is lovely, imaginative without being wacky, beautifully presented, and with real taste. Te service is attentive and never unctuous. To me what distinguished this restaurant from other top-end destinations is the fact that you can go there...More

A real discovery on our part. First time visit with family who had been before. Foods first class and something for most tastes. Wine reasonably priced. Service was really good and nothing was too much trouble. Not too noisey which helps.

I recently hosted a dinner for eight people at Medlar, my first visit to the restaurant for quite a few years. The place has lost its Michelin Star since I last dined there, but this wasn't reflected in the quality of food which was delicious...More

Medlar had been on my list for ages so I’m glad I finally made it. Lovely quiet restaurant with friendly staff and clean facilities on the Kings Road. I had the crab raviolo (brilliant although should have been hotter) and my friend had the foie...More

First of all, the price is not cheap. 3 people normal order, £240. The food was terrible. rabbits, deers, sharks, are the food. The teste not good, fish got fishy smell, deers got goaty flavour. Will never go again. Service and environment were ok.

Crab raviolo, blade steak, pheasant starter, hake main were all excellent. The orange wine from La Mancha was a delightful find. Financiers were soft and fresh and served with prune and armagnac ice cream that had wonderful texture and depth of flavour. Light and salty...More

We really enjoyed our visit to Medlar. Very much a foodie kind of place, with quite a sophisticated menu (calves brains an option as a starter). Plenty of great options, although I would say, lacking a bit in vegetarian options. (I believe there was only...More

It's very likely having lunch at Medlar with friends was the highlight of our recent trip to Scotland and England. The food really is creative and flavorful. The wine list is impeccable and made with care. The service is friendly. The ambiance at lunch has...More

I took my dogs there (terrier and spaniel). Rang first to make sure. I don't think they are keen on large dogs, but ok with small ones
