The Quality of food & service is consistent & tasty. The staff go lot of way to give you a good service & please you with small touches such as when they serve water they will bring ice & lemon to the table & make you that they are refilled. Most of the starter portions are big & the mains... More

JoJo took me here for my Birthday, a reciprocal treat after last month's visit to The Ivy. A couple of drinks in the local boozer, The Sporting Page and then onto dinner. We had a nice table at the front of the restaurant, which is well styled and easy on the eye. The now established glass of champagne whilst we... More

A two night trip from Scotland took us to Medlar for our first evening, chosen by son who knew that the wine list was excellent and also the food first rate. We were not disappointed. Very different from eating out here in Highland Perthshire. It was hard to chose from such a varied menu full of interesting dishes. All the... More

The best meal I have had in ages. I cannot fault the service, food and wine list. The food portions were spot on. The atmosphere friendly and the sommelier was excellent. If you want a great meal and great service don't pass this door. Well worth a visit.

Had lunch here today - the food was superb. There were four of us and what a refreshing change to be in a restaurant where you don't have to shout to make yourself heard. Service was great, discreet and efficient. But back to the food - the Tuna Tataki was divine with ponzu dressing, chilli, ginger, mouli, avocado and pickled... More

Fabulous reasonably priced Michelin quality food. A great wine list and friendly staff. Well healed patrons with the odd celebrity. The chef Joe is a lovely fellow and worth meeting, meanwhile David the maitre d is the consummate professional

We came here with my wife on valentine's day, for dinner. The service and welcome is very warm, and extremely professional. We had champaign to start, that was amazing, on the sweet side. For starters, we both got the tuna, that my wife loved. I like sashimi most, while the tuna was slightly cooked, so not optimal for me. The... More

I read the reviews on Trip Advisor and thought we'd give this place a visit. We were not disappointed. We were initially a bit worried as we walked in at just past 7pm on a Friday evening to a completely empty restaurant. Ambling past a number of other places along the Kings Road they all seemed quite busy so you... More

We spent a lovely evening here recently. The greeting was friendly, help and advice available if required, and the dishes and combinations if flavours were excellent. Using a prix fixe menu is a good idea in a quality restaurant: you know where you are and what it will cost! It was worth every penny!

Staying in Chelsea

Neighbourhood Profile
Wealth courses through The King's Road, Chelsea's upmarket artery of West London life packed with shops, eateries and glitzy nightspots. For people-watching at its best and luxury retail therapy that's largely unrivalled, this area cannot be missed. But if this showy street starts to overwhelm or a moment of price tag shock sends you reeling, a quick detour down pretty much any of many King's Road veins will reveal a quieter side of Chelsea. Here the stately Royal Hospital hosts its world-famous flower show, and the Thames rolls along at a lazy pace, with leafy Battersea Park and its Peace Pagoda beckoning from across the river.
