Overall it was enjoyable, but it isn't a coffee shop you want to go to if you're looking for a relaxing place to have a cup with a good book. The apple juice they have is absolutely to die for; the best AJ I've had. Ever. All the staff I encountered were very pleasant and attentive, and kept a good... More

On the recommendation of my boyfriend who visited ages ago and remembered it fondly, I popped in on my way to work last week to grab a coffee. Ordered a flat white which was, admittedly, pretty delicious - very rich coffee, tasted like it was topped off with cream but was probably just full fat milk. However, £3.10 for something... More

We popped in for a coffee after having checked out of the Zetter Townhouse Hotel across the road. There are two floors of tables. Loads of different sized ones which can accommodate groups of varying sizes. We ordered two black Americanos. The coffee itself was ok. Perhaps a filter coffee would have been better but they did not suggest this... More

Went for Saturday Brunch with my wife, daughters and their gran and Workshop Coffee catered admirably for all our needs, in a stylish setting. Tasty food, very good coffee and the hot chocolate worthy of a special mention too. Friendly staff were generally attentive. 93 year old Granny definitely enjoyed the vibe and left feeling like the Oldest Hipster in... More

Whilst we were in the Farringdon area, we popped to Workshop Coffee for a little coffee break. As we entered, we were delighted with the pretty interiors and friendly baristas. This place is super cool and I'd actually like to go back for brunch at some point. Any who, I highly recommend the mint tea, it's so refreshing and a... More

The Atmosphere is better than most London cafe's: quieter, a large table upstairs to work on. The coffee is fairly good despite the annoying habit of warming your cup with some of the coffee (the whole point of a preheated cup is to keep the coffee warm, using the coffee defeats the purpose... use hot water and pour it out!).... Nice breakfast, good brewed coffee to share, attentive staff, cool vibe... but surprisingly no internet, and the reception is quite bad too, so don't go if you need internet connection for your meet. Otherwise very good!

For those liking coffee this is a great place. For some of us who prefer tea or juice, this is still a great choice as the food is well done and service is very good. Great place for breakfast and to meet up with friends.

Lovely decor and digging the foliage wall First thing I ordered was a latte at the front. I sat down and waited, the place was not busy, while looking at the menu I had been asked 3 times by different employees in the space of minutes if I wanted to order something I ordered green fritter which was warm &... Varied, well executed and tasty choices for a light Saturday lunch. Contemporary decor and with seating for larger groups upstairs. Staff excellent; friendly and very helpful. Will definitely visit again.

Description
In April 2011 we opened our doors on Clerkenwell Road, intent on bringing to the neighbourhood the very best coffee possible. Sourcing, roasting and brewing great coffee lead to more, and since then, our Clerkenwell cafe has evolved into a thriving destination for coffee, food, beer and wine lovers alike.

Staying in Clerkenwell

Neighbourhood Profile
Clerkenwell
Owing to its proximity to Smithfield Market – the site of an ancient meat market which remains in operation today – Clerkenwell boasts a plethora of globally renowned restaurants, fabulous local eateries, and some of London's favorite pubs. This isn't merely a focal point for all things foodie though. Spend enough time wondering through the area's maze of streets and you might become accustomed to the litany of slinky models passing between Clerkenwell's handful of fashion houses. Far outnumbering the models are craftspeople and designers, many of them are more than happy to welcome visitors into their studios and showrooms.
