What can I say, the wife and I go to London 5 or 6 times a year for long weekends. Every time we go we end up here at least one of the days. Food and beer are really good value and it's in a great location. The only word of warning is it gets very busy so at peak... More

Called in here to warm up and grab a coffee and a pint. Lovely and warm and clean. Very friendly staff. Would have liked to have eaten here if had the time.

Came for a breakfast, unfortunately didn't have egg's Benedict, which was a bit disappointing, but the traditional breakfast healed the wound! Overall quite nice, and given the price, not bad at all!

As usual, a trip to any Wetherspoons offers good value, fast service and decent food. The unusual thing about this particular one is that its actually below river level once you get in as it is located alongside Camden Lock. So, you sit at your table and the water outside is at eye level which is quite an unusual way... More

We visited this pub-restaurant after a tour around the Tower of London. It was standard Wetherspoon's interior. My mum chose it as she likes the chain and the food is good quality and good value. The barstaff were really friendly, taking the order, very patient and nothing seemed too much trouble. We found a place and tucked into a nice... More

Good prices, big selection of drinks and decent food. That all mixed up in a nice ambiance. A good place to just hang out & relax.

I arrived on my 59th birthday, my daughter was already inside and had bought me a birthday drink. When I arrived the doorman asked me for ID, my drivers license was stuck inside a plastic wallet, he sent me to the, so called, security guard, who stuck his finger inside the plastic, ruining the wallet, and freed the licence. I... More

Came in here on a very busy Sunday afternoon before going to the Roundhouse. It took a little while to get a seat as it was extremely busy, but once we had got our first drink a table became available. There were 3 of us and we then decided to order food. We each ordered either a burger / drink... More

Staying in City of London

Neighbourhood Profile
City of London
From its ancient past as a Roman trading outpost to its 21st century status as the wealthiest square mile in the world, the financial district known simply as “The City” is one of London's most historic and fascinating neighbourhoods. Here high rise office towers such as Norman Foster’s Gherkin mingle with Roman ruins and architectural marvels from virtually every era in between, including Christopher Wren's glorious St.Paul's Cathedral, and John Soane's dauntingly classicist Bank of England. This neighbourhood is also home to some of the finest restaurants and plushest hotels in Europe, in addition to an assortment of of watering holes, upscale shops, and Tube stations. During the week, the City is abuzz with white collar workers going about their business; the weekend sees this area turn into a quiet haven for sightseers.
