We will not be returning to this establishment again. The service left a lot to be desired, as well as lack of cleanliness of table. All in all, we were left very disappointed, very poor service and poor food.

Starters were awesome. We ordered behari mutton tikka, fish tikka, chicken tikka and king prawn grill. It was really tasty. But main dish was so lame. Biryani was microwaved, chicken Karahi did not taste that good. Dal however was nice. Roti was soggy and when we told the waiter he replied it's not and returned with the same roti. Considering... Great food, good service and portions were substantial. End bill was suprisingly cheap. Busy restaurant with great atmosphere. Thanks to shahid and colleagues for looking after us.

This has been a regular place when ever we are passing by Whitechapel. The food and prices are pretty good in comparison with other restaurants in the area. The portions are average and it also depends on what you order and how much you eat. Overall I'd say decent place for friends family or business people. Enjoy

Went last Saturday night... recommended in the guardian as one of the top curries in London and it didn't disappoint. It was crazy busy... fantastic atmosphere... didn't know it was alcohol free but popped out and got our own beers and wine. Lamb chops were delish! I had keema and he had biryani.. along with garlic naan and mutter paneer(... More

The restaurant has a good selection of starters and mains and is BYOB, which is really good. It has a shorter queue than the famous Tayyabs and most of the dishes are the same. I heard that it was founded by one of the former owners of Tayyabs who decided to run his own business, but I have not been... More

Quick service however, i thought portions were quite small for the price. Was charged for poppadoms which were implied to be complimentary. Also found hair in food which was disappointing and at one point i could smell the toilet.

Nice and tasty dishes, fresh grilled food. Reasonably priced. Service wasn't as good as the food. Mixed grill was really nice.

I went the other day at 6 pm - it was relatively quiet but soon got really busy. I ordered fish tikka to start with onions - absolutely delicious and a filling 3 portions. It was a Thursday and the daily special was chicken biryani which was also great. Generous portions and they offered to put our leftovers in takeaway... More

A regular visitor to Needoos. It's a relatively basic set up and despite the expansion of recent years you still feel the tables around you are very close when the place is full - which I admit is pretty much every time I visit. In terms of what to eat, for me it's the mixed grill each time - right... More

Staying in Whitechapel

Neighbourhood Profile
Whether you're here for its dynamic street life, world class galleries or famed curry houses, you're bound to be wowed by the uniquely cosmopolitan flavor of Whitechapel. Long gone are the days when Jack the Ripper stalked its streets. And despite his mysterious legacy bringing throngs of curiosity driven tour groups to its back alleys and otherwise serene garden squares, these days you're more likely to catch a cutting edge fashionista scurrying through its age old lanes than criminals of any sort.
