This place has been a restaurant for decades, it's a traditional Italian - pasta, pizza etc. Very down to earth if not basic food in generous portions. I had bruschetta which seemed to served on a pizza base rather than the traditional sour dough toasted bread, they weren't good. Our ladies had tricolore salads which was good. They then had... Was in the area and fancied an Italian so fired up TA and this place came recommended. It was a Saturday lunchtime, went in for a table for two, it was busy but they found us a table. Had a bottle of wine and a couple of pizzas which came out quickly and were delicious. Price, inc service was just... More

We went at lunchtime before we went to the Palladium and enjoyed our meal. For starters we had the Remo special bruschetta and the chicken livers - both excellent. To follow we had veal medallions which were lovely accompanied by sugar snacks and sauté potatoes cooked to perfection. As we had time to spare we indulged in tiramisu (excellent) and... More

My wife and I visited for an early weekday evening meal. The service was very good and staff helpful. The food was fresh (veal escalope and pasta,, homemade soup, scallops) and well cooked. The surroundings were cosmopolitan but too our taste the venue could do with some redecoration. Most of the visitors were young. The restaurant was also somewhat hot,... More

Wonderful food, gluten free pasta is available, many items on the menu come in starter of main size. Very reasonably priced. A hidden gem of a restaurant in the west end.

This restaurant is in a great location - West End but just off the really busy part. Also very easy to find. The food was also very good. I went for a pizza and it was superb. The tomato sauce was really fresh and aromatic. Way better than most. My wife had mushroom risotto which she very much enjoyed. When... More

Went for lunch and was sat downstairs, most tables full. My partner and I had two different pastas and they were incredible! I had a chicken and cream based fettacini and my partner a seafood tomato based fettacini. Staff were super busy but still polite and easy to get their attention. Cannot recommend enough!

We came to see the Christmas lights at Oxford street and we were hungry so we decided to pop in to this restaurant. The space is not so big, but they managed to squeeze many tables there so the way to the table wasn't so easy. The place was very noisy and very hot. Our food wasn't good at all,... More

The food was delicious, the service was very good and the restaurant was full of people. Most of the workers were Italians you can tell from the pronunciation. The only ''negative''..when we got the bill, there was an 12.5% "service charge" added on to the cost of the meal with out asking us.

Went with family and friends on Christmas Eve and knew Bar Remo was the place to go having been there before. The food was delicious, one of the best Italian restaurants I know. The service was also very friendly and fun. The location is amazing, especially if you go on/near Christmas as the lights around Oxford street are something you... More

Staying in Mayfair

Neighbourhood Profile
Mayfair
Set beside some of London's best parks and home to world-class galleries, luxurious hotels, and famed thoroughfares, the ultra upscale Mayfair is one of London's most exclusive haunts. Here the shopping is haute, the dining is exquisite, and the nightlife is vibrant. A casual stroll through the area’s chic streets will reveal that Michelin stars and chauffeured cars are practically the norm here. Even if you're on a tight budget, this exceptionally well connected swath of Central London is worth exploring, if only for the chance to take a peak at the goings on of upper crust English society.
