The place to go if you look for a cheap breakfast. Although we went there in winter and the place was kind of cold. We had the english breakfast, which was OK but for the price you cannot really complain.

Friendly staff, perfect bacon and egg sandwiches, english style breakfasts and a huge choice of rolls, cakes and sandwich fillings. Really love this place. Recommended.

The staff are very friendly. I had a bacon butty and a coffee and it was not only cheap but delicious. Even the coffee tasted great which I wasn't expecting considering how cheap it was. If you're a tourist (I live in London) and you're visiting Big Ben, Westminster Cathedral or that area this cafe is a two minute walk... More

After spending a fortune at a nice hotel the morning prior and being severely underwhelmed by service and quality, we took a chance on a little cafe close by the Abbey. We walked in to a warm welcome and some funny, friendly banter from the staff and owner at Pickles. 'If you don't like it, don't pay me'. We did... More

I was recently passing through Westminster craving a decent sausage and egg sandwich. I'm sure I'm not alone with cravings like that. And I was surrounded by lots of corporate regularity with Pret and Eat and Starbucks, etc, etc. Not a sausage sandwich to be seen and I was inwardly lamenting the demise of the British "greasy spoon". Then I... More

We were stopping nearby and met some friends for breakfast. Normal Cafe food Bacon & Sausage sandwiches for us with some Latte and Cappuccino drinks. I asked for my bacon well done which was duly served up and spot on, coffee's were good and value for money compared to some you can get in London, would like to go back... More

We arrived in the area early to see Churchill's war room and were in need of a hearty breakfast to prepare us for the day. With no real places to grab a breakfast in site, we stumbled down a side street and happened across this little spot. We were lucky to experience a good delicious breakfast with friendly service. It's... More

This is a quick, custom sandwich shop that caters to the Westminster business crowd. This is also a great, reasonable lunch spot for tourists visiting the Churchill War rooms or Westminster Abbey.

By far the best bit of snack I had during my 3 week stay in the UK. I am a vegetarian. I had a Cheddar Cheese, Spinach and Mushroom sandwich in an Italian Bread. The Algerian guy on the counter suggest Tabasco Sauce and it was brilliant. Oh, and one of the best Cafe Mocha I had. It was a... More

Staying in Westminster

Neighbourhood Profile
If you only had an afternoon to experience London on a grand scale, Westminster would be a wise place to start. The ornate Houses of Parliament and Westminster Abbey sit adjacent at a corner of Parliament Square, and a short stroll along The Mall leads to Buckingham Palace. Trafalgar Square and Nelson's Column are just up the road as well. As captivating as the architecture is, the wonders of Mother Nature are highlights of the area too. St James's Park (arguably London's loveliest), the expansive Green Park, and pedestrian friendly tree lined paths along the river showcase the exquisite manicure provided by English gardeners. Just beyond the landmarks and the gorgeous outdoor spaces, quiet residential squares and age old local pubs offer a more subdued take on this global seat of power in the heart of London.
