Often overlooked vs Tendido Cero across the street, we found this place to be more relaxed. The presenttation of the dishes was much better paced and we were allowed to finish our wine at our leisure. Whatever you do, definitely order the oven roasted tomatoes....More

I was here for dinner in a sunny Friday in July. The staff are really lovely and helpful. The guitarist played quietly as the restaurant is only tiny - maybe 10 tables at most - so it was perfect background music. Wines by the glass...More

Well it IS in Kensington and their prices ARE posted outside but £37.69 for two tapas plates and one glass of wine is 'avin' a larf. I have always promised I will never return to a restaurant that charges for bread! That's just silly and...More

Had a really lovely meal here. Top quality ingredients, excellent cooking and really nice atmosphere. The serving staff could not be faulted who were all genuinely friendly and attentive. There was also live music, with a rather excellent guitarist playing Spanish classical guitar and flamenco....More

Were thrown out (Well, asked to move on.) of another place next door because we would not commit to buying 3 tapas a piece. They sent us to this place (apparently owned by the same proprietor). Capote y toros was a more relaxed atmosphere. Friendly...More

We enjoyed delicious tapas from a good (but not worryingly long) selection. We were surprised to be told as we sat down that our table would be needed in 90 minutes, as this had not been mentioned when we booked. However, this never became a...More

The place was busy, with people constantly pouring in,yet the service was friendly, personal and professional. We were extremely lucky to meet the Chef, with Capital C,he made the best...More

With its ivied mews, row upon row of Poppins-esque
white washed mansions, and placid garden squares, it's
easy to see the charms of South Kensington. And with
superb access to Hyde Park, Holland Park and
Kensington Gardens, as well as the largely
child-friendly and mostly free Museum Quarter (not to
mention more major attractions like Royal Albert Hall)
such charms are easy to make the most of. As welcoming
