Not visited for nearly twelve months so thought it was time to visit again. 2 course special (£15.95) didn't disappoint- nice white bait, good pizza. Good prawns and avocado, and spaghetti and clams was also good. Olives and bread, plus a small digestive, were complementary. Decent bottle of wine. Service is friendly. Good cooking. Good price. We will return, again

This is a small family run Italian restaurant. It is fairly basic and not so roomy, but the food was good very quality and the service friendly and efficient. They do a set curse menu which was good value. Would recommend it if you are in the area.

What a delightful little Italian treasure. An authentic design with Italian service. The seafood linguine is the best I've ever tasted with a very generous seafood supply. Topped off with a pleasant complimentary limoncello and amaretti biscuit to finish. Thank you for a cosy evening I will be returning soon!

A warm and friendly restaurant serving delicious food. The lasagna was the best I've had and the service was excellent. We will certainly return.

We have visited this tiny Italian restaurant a few times now. Always busy but if they can the delightful staff will do their best to fit you in, so not much space between tables, but its all part of the warm and comfortable atmosphere. Everyone is friendly. The house specials are consistently delicious. Mains are always great. Very reasonably priced.... More

We stumbled over this quaint little Italian restaurant and decided to eat here. The restaurant is small, maybe 12 tables, but outside dining was available. We got a table straight away, there was four of us in total. Got the feeling it was a family run business, what a wonderful atmosphere, felt like we where in Italy itself. Staff where... More

we arrived on a very cold evening after doing the tourist thing all day, hungry and footsore. You know what it's like, no-one makes eye contact with you on the tube, never mind saying hi, so a friendly face was v welcome. Bread, oil and olives were brought to our table immediately whilst we perused the menu - fresh and... More

My husband and I went for a quick dinner last night: the staff was really welcoming and attentive. We both had pizza and it was really tasty, both the dough and the toppings. Tiramisu was also very good. Traditional and honest food with friendly service. We will probably stop by again if we are in the area

The food here is really not great (tinned tomatoes with defrosted meatballs on pasta. Zero flavour!) and nor is it reasonably priced. A main meat course for £25?! That's actually more expensive than The Wolseley. There are many better places nearby you should go to spend your money.

We have been for a quick lunch and took the lunch menu (12 pounds for two courses). It was very good (I recommend the carbonara). The staff was very friendly.

Staying in Clerkenwell

Neighbourhood Profile
Owing to its proximity to Smithfield Market – the site of an ancient meat market which remains in operation today – Clerkenwell boasts a plethora of globally renowned restaurants, fabulous local eateries, and some of London's favorite pubs. This isn't merely a focal point for all things foodie though. Spend enough time wondering through the area's maze of streets and you might become accustomed to the litany of slinky models passing between Clerkenwell's handful of fashion houses. Far outnumbering the models are craftspeople and designers, many of them are more than happy to welcome visitors into their studios and showrooms.
