Great atmosphere and very warm welcome from owner. Made wife feel special talking about marathon and kindly donated some money to her chosen charity. Small place but very atmospheric. Would recommend to anyone.

Came here for just a nice mid-priced italian meal. Was very surprised how awesome the pasta dishes were. Would highly recommend. If you want some really authentic Italian that is reasonably priced and away from the chains come here. Would highly recommend.

A great place for a meal out with friends . It is quite loud and buzzy which creates a good atmosphere . The food is lovely and reasonably priced for London . We booked an early table at 7pm and was told at the time of booking that we would have to leave by 9pm. At no time were we... More

We have just been to Giuseppe's before the marathon tomorrow. Giuseppe is a big Marathon fan (and ran it 10 times) and was making all the marathon runners feel very welcome. The food was lovely and the atmosphere was really lively. Thanks for a lovely evening!

I've never left a bad review on Tripadvisor because I'm a very understanding customer, but maybe the staff will see this. Before we even sat down the waiter curtly told us we "need to be out by 8:30" (giving us 2 hours). Having worked in hospitality for years, I understand the need to shift tables when it's extremely busy, but... More

You'll miss it if you blink. In an alley, but inside a cute little restaurant. Cuby holes for tables. Great service, fair prices, good service. Be back in a minute. If in the area, take a break from all the chains and get a great meal.

16 of us sat down to celebrate a colleagues retirement. The wine flowed, the food was excellent and filling. The restaurant is down an alleyway then in a basement, but it is a unique and lovely spot amid the hustle and bustle of London bridge. Good choice of dishes, good selection of beers and wine. Good value.

Fantastic food, good wine selection. I would recomend both the veal Milanese and the spaghetti shard. Food is top notch. It can get very busy and it's quite tight on space but to me it adds to the charm. I also like the live keyboard or guitar player, adds a real atmosphere to the place. Definitely one to check out

Thank Daniel R

Staying in Southwark

Neighbourhood Profile
Even before the arrival of the instantly iconic Shard, the riverside scene in Southwark had moved well beyond any up-and-coming phase of development. For quite some time, locals and out-of-towners alike have loved browsing the boutiques of Bermondsey High Street, foraging through the bounteous stalls at centuries old foodie haven Borough Market, and flocking to the banks of the Thames to enjoy some of Britain's biggest attractions such as Tate Modern and Shakespeare's Globe. Despite Southwark's many popular draws, instant calm can be achieved easily by turning down almost any side street. For more urban buzz, a quick stroll across famed bridges like the pedestrianized Millennium Bridge or the ever photogenic Tower Bridge yields access to the very core of Central London. And with London Bridge Station as this neighbourhood's main transportation hub, getting across town (or to anywhere in England for that matter) is a relative breeze.
