This review is about the great... ..food: superb, a real cut above the average gastro-pub fare ..service: extra helpful and polite, accommodating one of us who is gluten-intolerant ..drinks: well, it is Fullers. The wines were also excellent ..atmosphere: friendly, convivial, a bit loud around Saturday lunchtime, but we coped! Highly recommend this place

I quite often meet friends in the red lion. It's easy to get to, and you can often get a nice place to sit. It's a pity you can't reserve tables in advance. The burgers and pies are especially delicious. The prices seem fair, and staff are very friendly. If the weathers nice they have a nice beer garden. There's... More

The Red Lion is a really great local pub. Inside the decor is both chic, and cosy. A large deck and garden out the back and a very fine selection of usual and unusual drinks, nibbles and lovely food. Friendly staff (lovely owners) and a pub dog. The clientele is civilised and welcoming. Well worth a stop if you're anywhere... More

Back in London for 3 weeks and spent most nights at this lovely pub in Barnes. Every time I have been in the past Angus and his team have not let me down and this visit was no exception. The food is generally prepared on the premises and is of a good quality. The Chicken and Leek pie is a must. The staff are great and very helpful. The seating by the fire is comfortable and the garden is the place to be in the summer.

Have been a regular here for several years now, with friends, for meetings and with the local triathlon club. The service is generally very good, and friendly, with a nice mixture of comfy chairs inside, good seating out side under cover and for summer an expansive beer garden. Good food always on offer and great Sunday Roasts. Being a Fuller's... More

The back section of this pub is charming with an open fire and lots of calved oak about the place which looks to be originally Victorian. For that reason it's a great winter pub. If you're looking for a hearty pub meal, it's great too and the Sunday lunches consistently perform. They really have got it right at the moment.... More

Bravo Angus and the Team! Friends and family had told us for ages that the Red Lion has a fantastic Sunday lunch and we just never got round to going. So we did recently.
