We were served a very small bowl of watery tasteless soup. It was supposed to be lentil, but there were only a few floating around somewhere near the bottom of the bowl. The soup was also lukewarm. When we pointed this out to a member of staff, he didn't seem sure what we expected him to do about it. Nice... More

I popped in to this cafe for some breakfast and was met with extremely rude staff who seemed bothered that we had come in. We grabbed a seat at the bar and tried to order we were told we had to order at the till which was fine but they rudely said "we don't do table service here sorry" then... More

If you fancy rude staff, cold coffee and a 20 minute wait for some pancakes and bacon (sorry 20 minute wait after we had received our coffee) this place is for you! I would completely understand if the cafe was busy but it was quiet! The service and food would potentially be better if the staff stopped taking amongst themselves... More

We were looking for somewhere to have a scone and a cup of matcha, finding both optionsides proved difficult and we ended up choosing somewhere with scones.... We were recommended gails by another tea shop which was really nice, however we should have skipped the recommendation and had a Matcha at the first place. On entering you see a good... More

Gail's has a bakery in Dean Street. They offer a large range of threats for breakfast. The croissant and muffins arme freshly made. If you stay in a nearby Hotel als the Nadler Soho, it is just a two minute walk behind the Hotel.

Too bad as the food is very good, but the staff was very rude. While we had been waiting on the queue for a while, the lady wearing glasses at the cashier asked if we had a seat already and when she was going to take our order she asked if we wanted to eat in or take away. We... More

I love Gail's restaurant for a weekend brunch. The shakshuka here is excellent and a decent portion. It's not a cheap eat place but it's reasonable for London. The bread is usually really fresh and good. coffee is usually great. They have a wide selection of delicious pastries too. You have to book for weekend brunch as it gets very... More

We'd been to the Georgia O'Keefe exhibition at the Tate Modern and called in here for a quick lunch. They had a sitter enter range of sandwiches and cakes, all very artisan. All good though. There was also a very smiley waitress who made the place seem even better. The sort of prices you would expect given the location -... More

I went back twice for their maple scones, so fingerlicking good, and the coffee, so creamy, and I´m not even a coffee person, but the scone and coffee worked perfect. EVery thing looks super delicious

Staying in Soho

Neighbourhood Profile
The go-to district for a good time in London, Soho hosts a wealth of world-class theatres and a compelling lineup of cafes, restaurants, pubs, bars, and clubs. At Soho's core is London's original Red Light District and the epicenter of the LGBT scene – and thus the city's hottest nightlife. For shopping enthusiasts, Soho is not only the home of London's greatest concentration of boutique shops, but also the most strategic place to set off on a tour of the world's most celebrated department stores. In the southern part of the neighbourhood lies Chinatown, with its multitude of delicious and affordable restaurants. Closer to the Thames, Chinatown's narrow and teeming lantern-lit lanes spill onto the expansive hub of glitzy Leicester Square.
