After a long day of walking, a group of us just wanted to sit down and have a drink. Came across this bar and decided to sit - it was super quiet when we got there with just two other customers sitting in a corner. The atmosphere was slightly odd and left me wondering why it was so quiet on... More

was served by the rudest bartender in London (imagine the disaster, considering the number of bad bartenders in town). He could not be bothered to tell us what beers they have, could not be bothered to answer any questions, all he wanted was our money. Went for drinks, had only one then went to another bar nearby to have more... More

Went there with a couple of friends. The bartender was drunk (red eyes, no life in his eyes, looked like a zombie) and was trying to be rudely funny (or funnily rude). Red Lion is known for having lots of variety of beers. But he was completely unhelpful and obnoxious when we asked him what beers were available. Worst pub... More

Best pub in London. Some would argue the Princess Louise is number 1... Veronica... but I'm sticking with the Red Lion. She did like the hand gel thou in the toilets. Lauren and Sarah are slowly coming round to the place, and the smell, and love their pint sized white wine spritzers. Best pub in London. Go Bo Drakes.

This is the worst experience I have ever had in any establishment in the world. I’m a reasonable person, see my other reviews, I don’t just wildly criticise places. I have a responsible job and a young family. I’m not in a position to write nonsense just for the sake it. The landlord is one of the most vile people... More

I came here for a quick drink on an early Friday evening and overall I really enjoyed my short time in the Red Lion. The drinks were of a good quality and price, considering the area, and the pub was quiet considering the time of day.

I really liked this restaurant /pub. It has a nice interior (typical english), good selection of LOCAL beer and delicious fish and chips.

Well I am currently stood in the Red Lion, on a Wednesday night, enjoying a great pint of Sam Smiths and having a good laugh with the staff. Nice people - including families - in the pub and a pleasant break from the London Life filling the streets outside. Will definitely come back.

I visited this pub for a small networking event. The pub is extremely warm upstairs and not very well ventilated which was not expected on a cold winters evening! It has a warm and friendly atmosphere, the food coming out of the kitchen looked pretty good although I didn't sample any myself. Definitely recommend popping in here if you're central... More

Staying in Soho

Neighbourhood Profile
The go-to district for a good time in London, Soho hosts a wealth of world-class theatres and a compelling lineup of cafes, restaurants, pubs, bars, and clubs. At Soho's core is London's original Red Light District and the epicenter of the LGBT scene – and thus the city's hottest nightlife. For shopping enthusiasts, Soho is not only the home of London's greatest concentration of boutique shops, but also the most strategic place to set off on a tour of the world's most celebrated department stores. In the southern part of the neighbourhood lies Chinatown, with its multitude of delicious and affordable restaurants. Closer to the Thames, Chinatown's narrow and teeming lantern-lit lanes spill onto the expansive hub of glitzy Leicester Square.
